So MITB had a pretty cool yet somewhat predictable ending with Dean Ambrose cashing in the contract and winning the title, as he said he would on last week's RAW.
This lead to my friend getting excited that he "called it", although so did pretty much 95% of the WWE Universe..
This got me thinking, have you guys ever called something that was genuinely surprising for everyone??
I'm not talking about an NXT call up, or the debut of a guy who's either already been confirmed by WWE or is the talk of the entire 'click for hit' rumour site market. Im talking genuine surprises..
Perhaps you predicted Zack Ryder would win the ladder match at WrestleMania? Or that Sting would return to face Seth Rollins at NOC? Undertakers return at last year's Battleground was pretty shocking, what about Seth cashing in MITB at WM31?
Personally, I jokingly jotted down in our prediction sweepstake that Kevin Nash would appear at Summerslam 2011. To this day I don't even remember making that guess, why I said it, I never read a thing, and it blatantly made no sense at all... but it happened! And I somehow called it! It lead to my friend trying to call a "Terry Funk w/ Chainsaw appearance" at every PPV we watched for the next 5 years, until it finally happened on RAW in March!
Let's hear some of yours

A lonnnng time ago, while doing storyline stuff with figures, I had a thing where CM Punk beat Edge for the WHC. This was either right before he won MITB the first time, or right after, don't remember, but it was definitely before he cashed in on Edge in real life, and I believe Undertaker was the champ at the time, but I didn't have a figure of him back then.

When I was a kid, I had Edge cash in MITB on 'Taker to win the World title. It was just after Edge beat Kennedy for the case in real life, so it wasn't that much of an outlandish prediction.

Rollins turning like 30 seconds before it happened.
I just thought him being the only one with a weapon was weird.

I called Seth cashing in at WrestleMania 31 prior to the show starting. When he had his match with Orton and had the gold attire it had me even more sure it was going to happen.

Daniel Bryan returning as the mystery seventh man at SummerSlam 2010. It was a complete guess over the phone to a buddy of mine, hours before the show. Afterwards, I was kicking myself for not betting with said friend.

Me and a buddy called the nwo/dx run-in at WM 31.
I said how crazy and nonsensical it would be for the nwo to run-in and help Sting? and he called DX coming out to help The Game.

I've told this before but I was watching WM20 with a couple of friends. And they ask for my prediction in the Y2J vs Christian match. In a very nonchalant manner I said "Trish is going to turn on Jericho and align with Christian." They laughed like I just made the craziest call ever. Once she slapped Jericho, my friend Alan told me to "GET OUT". I just sat there with a smug look on my face.

Pretty sure I called the Benoit incident.
Y'know when he jumped to Raw after winning the rumble.
Wait, what did you think I meant?

I knew Rollins was going to turn on the Shield because he was the only one that had a chair so it was obvious that he was going to hit them with it.

Honestly, I have been watching wrestling for 35 years. There isn't much that I can't call at this point to be honest. It's rare to be surprised, but it is nice when it happens.

I called Sting for NOC, Ambrose winning MITB and Cashing in, Bayley losing @ Dallas, AJ at the rumble (everyone did), Taker at Battleground and the Apollo Crews call up. That's all for the past year.

Honestly, I have been watching wrestling for 35 years. There isn't much that I can't call at this point to be honest. It's rare to be surprised, but it is nice when it happens. That's how I feel. The main ones were Jericho beating AJ and Charlotte retaining at WrestleMania.. I put £10 on it with SkyBet, which I never do, I was that assured. If Ambrose beat Lesnar I'd have won over a grand but I was happy with just under 200 quid. Everyone losing their patience and I'm just there thinking "this is literally the most obvious pair of results they've ever produced... ever." NOT from a "push and create new stars to please the internet" unrealistic standpoint, simply from the "following WWE Pattern that's easy to track after decades of watching" standpoint. It reaped big reward and it couldn't have been more obvious. Fans who think their knowledgeable reading this tearing clumps out of their hair thinking "HOW?!?!?!" While they fantasy book Balors WWE Title winning debut for next week..
