Backlash should be after mania. But if this is real I'm kinda hyped. Loving the RA era PPVs returning.

Has to be fake. Even when the brands were split, Night of Champions was both brands because every title was on the line.

If true, ill judge when i see what happens. I can't completely put down an idea until it actually happens. Personally i don't care. With how my dad is starting to get into wrestling again, its more time to hang out with him

I really don't think that is legit. Clash of Champions? Lol I would LOVE this but still, sounds a little weird. I could see them bringing it back but not as a PPV. But then again, is there really a difference between PPVs and Network Specials?

The PPV schedule they had in 2003 and 2004 was perfect for the separate brands. The 4 big shows get RAW and SmackDown talent and for the other events it trades off with one month being RAW and the next being SmackDown. Plus the Raw or Smackdown before said event of the other brand usually had a killer show with main event matches. I remember the Raw before Smackdown had their PPV Judgment Day, Raw had Christian vs. Jericho in a cage, Orton vs. Edge for the IC Title, Shelton vs. Triple H and a few other good matches. Was that their first encounter? One of my favorite matches.

But yeah, that first time when Shelton rolled up Triple H for the win was one of the coolest mark out moments in a long ass time for that era.

Counting the pre-show for Wrestlemania this year, you ended up with a 7 hour long event. Two hour pre-show, and five hour PPV card. It was too long. I think everyone was wiped out after Shane vs. Taker, then when Rock came out fans got into it again, but then when Triple H vs. Roman took place, everyone was just burnt out. I usually never watch the pre-shows. They were burnt out, but they also knew the ending in advance. Reigns was going to win it. That was a match that could've used some interference.

4 hour shows aren't necessarily bad provided that they're good, well-paced shows. This past Wrestlemania turned into such a slog. It was too long and not entertaining enough. I was burnt out after Rock came out, i even remember falling asleep during the main event. I would have been more into the main event if it were no DQ

Couple things: 1. If they're truly going to each have PPVs, this has to be the end of the gimmick PPVs like TLC and Hell in a Cell, unless those will be co-branded events. It really wouldn't make sense to give one brand a gimmick event over the other, otherwise, they're saying one brand is better than the other based on which gimmick events they get. Which also leads me to: 2. You can give SmackDown a "Network Exclusive" event and not Raw because once again, you're making the people believe one brand is better than the other.
The events either need to be treated equally, or this won't work.

These shows are happening whether they're done on the network or not. WWE's touring schedule typically has them on the road Friday-Tuesday, so they'd be doing a live event on these Sundays anyway (arenas have been booked before they made the brand split decision). I don't expect them to be spectacular as it looks like they're trying to focus the major build ups for the unioned PPVs like they did pre-2009. But this gives WWE a relatively cheap way to offer more exclusive programming on the network (i.e. Michael Cole can yip about this at each commercial for the next year about the network).
