With the new hockey season coming up, and the rules changing, Canada is expected to be having a good hockey season. Which Canadian team do you think will make it the farthest in the playoffs this year?

For me it's a toss up between Edmonton and Calgary, both those temas seem stacked.

Vancouver did pretty well last year and this year they're pretty much the same team. Calgary and Edmonton picked up many great players this off season. So it's a toss up between those 3.

I think that the Flames are going to step it up a little more this season, and hopefully that takes them to the cup... The Oilers arent looking half bad either, which could make for some good rival games against them .

I have a feeling this is Toronto's year. I know it. I doubt it. Toronto lost alot of key players that are backbone of the team. They picked up Lindros, who's a guy who wont make any impact and will be injuried early into the season. Ottawa has a good team, but it really depends on if Domink (sp?) has a good year in net. Calgary has an awsome team, and they picked up really good players, and most importantly kept Iginla. Oilers has picked up some good players, it's still a mystery if Pronger shines or falls. Vancouver is hard to tell. They might have an amazing team or terrible team. It's hard to see if players will click with eachother.

I have a feeling this is Toronto's year. I know it. Nah,they'll choke in the 3rd round If they even make the playoffs. Lindros? Oh jeez. I still friggen hate the Leafs for the Gary Leeman trade. I am feeling wary of Calgary though. I love my Flames but no Conroy? No Gelinas? No Nieminen? No Turek? Hmmmm? This Langkow guy better know what he's doing. And, I like Kipper as much as the next guy, but how many goalies that have a ridiculously good year have a good one after that? Although he does have a super defense crew in front of him. Oh Nieminen, he was my favorite player last season with all his dirty shenanigans. But now that he plays for someone else, he's the worst. Yup, Calgary. Best Canadian team. Oilers stink. Leafs stink. Canucks especially stink. Canadiens, well, Calgary hardly ever sees them anyways so their fine. Ottawa? Who hates Ottawa? Their fine too. But none of them will be better than the Flames. I hope.

Is Turek not backup? Just because they lost a few doesnt mean they wont do as bad. What team hasnt dropped players this year, due to the Salary Cap? Its just that Calgary was so good, than everyone was a big name guy

I'm just hoping the Habs don't even come close. After Riberio's (sp? I think thats the guy) act in the playoffs after faking that injury...that turned me against the whole team.
