Ever since TNA left Spike, they have been struggling to get their content out to the world, including lowering the number of PPVs. But it seems like they had a plan in motion to help resolve this issue, but it's like they gave up on it very quickly, and that is: TNA Wrestling PLUS on YouTube. It was started in Feb. 2013, 1 full year before the WWE Network, and the concept is the same. They charge $4.99/month and you get every PPV and what looks to be their entire home video library. And since it's YouTube, it's automatically compatible with every data device. A big downside is they weren't including their TV show and never included the early weekly PPV events, but it was a great start. The problem is they very quickly forgot about it and stopped uploading new content to it. They've only uploaded 2 One Night Only events and 1 PPV from 2013. I really feel like this was a greatly missed opportunity because they could have easily had their own version of the WWE Network just for their own content, and for the price, maybe people would give it more of a chance if they would have kept up with it and advertised it more. They could have streamed live events from it using YouTube's live feature, and tons more. It's almost like what they had with TNA On Demand, but them trying to build their own version of it wasn't successful, and this way could have been if they hadn't lost interest. Now they have uploaded all of that content, and newer content to their official YouTube page and you pay $0.99 to rent older events and higher for newer events. The idea of the $4.99/month subscription service is a lot better bargain, but they're clearly not thinking straight so it doesn't matter now, but it's a shame because who knows what this could have done for them.

This thread could be 100 pages based on the thread title alone.

Ultimately, it probably wouldn't have done much for them, and they probably weren't getting enough people subscribing to it in the first place to make it viable. They likely couldn't upload Impact to it due to their TV deal(s), and they don't run any live events to stream... aside from TV tapings.
They've also been putting up the early Asylum Years shows for free. So, yeah.

i'd never heard of that, that's actually really interesting. despite my interest in it however, i doubt it would be able to gain much momentum and no one outside the tna diehards would sign up for it. i suppose we'll never know though.

Here's the thing, they don't need to worry about not getting enough subscribers because it's costing them anything but time to have this channel up to date. The only reason to not have more focus on it is if their DVD sales are doing great, and I can't imagine that being the case seeing how they have slowed down production of DVDs greatly. So it's nothing but free money they could be getting by doing this.

If i haven't already seen and recorded all but two shows, i would have bought the episodes

It's a decent price -- I guess if you want to watch some of the really good X-Division matches back in the day. It's on YouTube though and I like to watch my wrestling on TV. YouTube's non-mobile apps are ATROCIOUS.

Just sticking to video, they are losing a lot from simply not putting the show up on their youtube channel, like they did when they were on DA. Its probably something to do with their Poptv contract, but so many people are not seeing the product and they have an easy solution but they don't.

Yeah and that's the thing, when they lost Destination America, they should have just switched their focus to live streaming through their YouTube page and just bought TV advertising time and/or YouTube ads. I really think that could have made things very interesting for them.
