I just picked this game up at the thrift store a few weeks ago, and for as old as it is, it has a fairly entertaining setup for creating wrestlers, entrances, and everything. I will admit some troubles with the actual wrestling, even changing the control scheme around hasn't made it much less tough to win a match. I still haven't gotten very far in that respect, and have yet to unleash a finisher, I believe.
Still, I've already managed to put together Tugboat, who it seems they must have partially planned for in this game, with attire labeled "Freighter," George the Animal Steele, Kamala, whose chest stars and Moon and facepaint were already available in the custom tabs, Earthquake, and the Blob of X-Men fame, just for kicks. And you can give these guys some nearly authentic voices thanks to a whole mess of voice options. It's probably the CAW granddaddy I had never heard about.
Now, if I could just win a few matches and get up in the rankings.....
Anybody else have any fond memories, or venom for the wrestling setup they used?

This game dominated 1999 for me.

Man, I loved this game. Once, I got really bored and had a Royal Rumble match where all of the entrants were the Big Boss Man.

Some of the voices for created wrestlers were absolutely ridiculous.
"I am so big and mooscular!"
"T-BONE! It's what's for dinner!"
And you could even face Al Snow and Head in career mode. Head was a floating head, hands and shoes with an invisible body.

My son and I laughed our butts off when we gave the Blob the fatboy voice. "Bigger is Bettuh!" And Tugboat, we used the Caboose voice. "Toooot Tooot!" I looked up some cheats for this one, and unlocking Sgt. Slaughter, Test and Chyna are on my to-do list, but it's not exactly clear what matches I have to go through in order to do it. They all seem attached to season mode. Anybody got some tips on this, who unlocked them in years past?

Billy Gunn was the GOAT in that game.

There are cheats that say he is, but I have never seen anything to support him being in the game

I remember getting really annoyed at not being able to pull off moves. But I still had fun playing it. Wasn't it dedicated to Owen Hart?

I enjoyed WWF Warzone and felt Attitude was an amazing sequel. I put a ton of time into the game and really, really enjoyed it. I never had any trouble doing any of the moves and Billy Gunn was my go to guy. The only thing I struggled with was the 3 on 1 handicap matches in season mode. I always thought it was funny when Triple H would do his entrance and call you out for being fat ass playing the game lol.
While at the time I really enjoyed Warzone and Attitude they have aged quite poorly and to be honest it is pure nostalgia as to why I am able to tolerate them these days.

Further digging into the game seems to support the erroneous addition of Test as an unlockable, so far as I can tell. I guess not all information on the old games is necessarily reliable information. I am going to take a crack at it with a gameshark in order to use one of the "unlock everything" codes, just to be sure. The lack of his voice or entrance music in the create-a-wrestler menu seems telling, though. Test or no Test, I'm gonna fight my way to the top of the roster!

I've been thinking about picking up a copy for my Dreamcast. Used to love this game.
