On Friday, I pressed the power button my Dell PC when I came home and it wouldnt turn on even though it was working fine the day before. I swapped the power cord and it was able to turn on. Today, the PC wouldnt turn on again and I switched back to the old power cord and then it turned on. It seems that is only a temporary solution. Does anybody why the PC just doesnt turn on all of a sudden and is there a better solution?

Maybe it's not the cable, maybe the socket is going bad.

It could be a bad power supply. Which isn't terribly hard or expensive to replace.

My PC wouldnt turn on again today until I unplugged the power cord and put it back in. I think I should leave it turned on and not shut down
