I have been tempted to add a bootleg thread to this section, but haven't for some reason. There are so many out there.

Ah yes, the MOTU bootlegs. A classic.

Luchador "Arena" figures. I do not have any pictures, but a nice way to get your favorite Luchadors in action figure form.

I like the early 90s LJN knockoffs. I didn't get the LJNs until years later so it was best I could get with figures of Studd, Andre, Snuka, Sheik and Hogan. The faces were pretty accurate to the LJNs. It's almost like, years later, the Hasbro knockoffs (the one with the "Diesel" figure).

There was this one line called PWC (Pro Wrestling Champions?) that used TTL remolds and worked really well to bolster your roster. Some of the headsculpts were decent and coming up with backstories and gimmicks for them was quite fun. Of course I can't find any pictures and have zero idea where mine are. :/

I always liked the Maniax Diesel knockoff. Closest thing we'd ever get to a Diesel Hasbro.

Personally, my favorite was the wrestling federation series. I grew up with them as a kid and was upset they only ever made 3 or 4 of them and not everyone on the back of the carding.
I think they were based off of the OSFTM ECW figures.

It's funny, because I had just bumped into your thread a few minutes ago while I was waiting for the bus. Pretty cool stuff. I personally preferred the smaller ones for some reason...
I wonder if they would have looked good in my custom Real Scale Build n Brawl ring.

Thanks.
I am not sure how they would work with your ring as I am not familiar with what sized figures can be used with it. The larger Wrestling Federation figures are 6" and the smaller are 4".

If memory serves me right, the Build n Brawl figures are similar height, so maybe... It's just that the Wrestling Federation series predated the BnB series, so I couldn't say. I used to find them at my local dollar stores. The four I found were the four guys in the 5 pack pictured that aren't Taz. They were single release versions. I sometimes wonder if I would have liked bootleg wrestling toys had these not been around back in the day. These are the only ones I have ever bought and that I kinda wish I still had. XD
