If ultimate warrior had stayed in 1996, does anyone know what plans WWE had for him?
Now, Warrior was supposed to have been apart of the 6 man tag match at in your house 9 - international incident, teaming with Ahmed Johnson and Shawn Michaels, to take on Bulldog, Vader and Owen - However Warrior was replaced with psycho Sid.
now. in the fall of 1996, we saw pyscho Sid challenging Shawn for the title.
so what I'm getting at is, if the Warrior had stayed, and Sid hadn't taken his spot, would we have seen ultimate warrior V HBK at survivor series 96?

No, because Sid was never supposed to win that Title at Survivor Series, Vader was supposed to win it.
That's why the December In Your House PPV is called "It's Time."
I am guessing Warrior was just gonna be used as a special attraction.
I would think Warrior vs. Bulldog and Owen vs. Ahmed for the IC Title both would have taken place at SummerSlam, along with HBK vs. Vader for the WWE Title.

BUT...perhaps....With Hogan turning heel and getting tons of press from it in WCW. I am sure it crossed vince´s mind to do the same with Warrior. Big heel turn vs. HBK would have been great.

Rumor is that, had things gone to plan, hbk would have dropped the title to warrior or vader and set up a vader/Warrior feud

There are house show advertisements from 96 that were printed in advance, that show Warrior vs Vader for the WWF Championship. Its been noted that Vader, at one point, was to beat HBK for the title. Following that he would have gone into the program with Warrior. Whether or not that was to lead to Warrior winning the championship is unknown . As for any planned matches for Warrior against Shawn, i would say it may have happened down the road, but it doesn't look like anything WWF was definitively planning on.

Warrior vs Shawn? We probably wouldn't have gotten that in '96 since they were both faces, but DX Shawn vs Warrior in '97? That seems likely. As RRFE noted, there's hard evidence that Vader was supposed to win the WWF belt in '96 and Vince was clearly planning to reinsert Warrior into the main event scene eventually. Had Warrior regained Vince's trust, it's logical to believe that he would have gotten the belt at least one more time and faced HBK, but probably not right away.

I wouldn't have liked Shawn vs Warrior. It would've been like Hogan/Michaels 9 years earlier, but it likely would've never happened anyway. Michaels would refuse to lose and Warrior would demand another million in the locker room to do the job, but Vince would tell him to f#ck off and likely send Vader out there anyway. I really wish Vader would've gotten that title like he was supposed to.

I know there were politics going on, but most people don't realize that Vader was still recovering from shoulder surgery in 96.

I personally feel that they would have had horrible chemistry together thus having horrible matches.

Warrior really didn't do much in that 96 run.
Beat Triple H at Mania, beat Yankem on Raw, had that weird match with Goldust at IYH in April, beat Owen Hart at the MSG "Kliq Farewell" show, beat The King at King of the Ring, and wrestled Owen Hart on Raw before leaving the company again.
I really don't know why Warrior even agreed to come back for that run.

Question.
Sorry to veer off topic but I'm glad HBK & Warrior didn't go at it, Warrior was out of place in his comeback and I never had any interest in him this run
As far as Vader - what happened to sour them on his title run? Injury or something else?
And Sid - I've wanted to make a thread asking this but just never have. What happened with him to make himself and WWF part ways. I was a teenager at this time and ever since I was 9 or 10 thought Sid was an absolute monster. Didn't care about the rambling, and not saying the right thing. It just played into his unstableness It seems from the outside looking in he would have been a great fit for that dawning of and into their 'Attitude Era'.

I think it was mentioned already, but Shawn refused to work with Vader because of how stiff of a worker he was. So, Shawn basically killed the idea of dropping the belt to him and forced him down the card. Although, it's a mystery to me why they never tried to rebuild Vader after Shawn was gone. Unless they felt he had no mileage left, due to either his age or the fact that guys like Rock, Austin, Kane, Foley, and the like were taking center stage and he had been pretty much made into a midcard act, if not lower.

Interesting idea. What I think would be interesting about this was how Warrior would have handled Shawn Michaels backstage BS. I really do not think he would have put up with it at all lol and it would have been just as equally interesting to see how Shawn Michaels would have dealt with someone who was not intimidated by his stroke backstage.

Could you imagine babyface Shawn Michaels vs. heel Ultimate Warrior @wrestlemania 13 for the title? That would've been incredible...and we wouldn't have to worry about that weak Sid/Undertaker main event...all they'd need to do is make that semi-main or midcard. Warrior could've taken on Sid's role at the Survivor Series and attacked Lothario setting up a feud leading up to Mania 13.

Warrior vs HBK sounds atrocious I picture Shawn humiliating Warrior the same way he did with Hogan in 2005... Selling every punch like he got shot out of a cannon and landed on an electric fence.

Vader was supposed to win the Title at SummerSlam and drop it back to Michaels at Royal Rumble 97. The plan was always for HBK to have his moment in winning the Title in his hometown. However, Michaels complained about how stiff Leon was, and bad mouthed him and complained so much that Vince decided to keep the Title on Shawn. However, they still had to get the Belt off him before January, so they rebooked Vader's Title win for Survivor Series. However, Shawn started complaining AGAIN, and again Vince gave in, giving the Belt to Sid instead. However, this kind of backfired on them, as Sid was hugely over and popular going into SUrvivor Series, and it saw the fans reject Shawn and embrace Sid.

There are house show advertisements from 96 that were printed in advance, that show Warrior vs Vader for the WWF Championship. No there weren't. They were fabricated for the Self-Destruction DVD. The original plan would've likely been Shawn dropping the belt to Vader, then winning it back at the Rumble, then facing Bret at WrestleMania 13. Warrior was kept away from the title and away from being an opponent for Shawn because of his unreliability. Any plans for Warrior vs Shawn would've been harder to put together than the plans for the Bret vs Shawn rematch. No way Warrior or HBK were agreeing to do the job.

Bret was going to win the Title back, then they would have a third "rubber match" at I think SummerSlam where Michaels would regain the Title cleanly and without controversy, and Bret would finally endorse him and shake his hand. It's amazing when you think about it and see just how much had to be changed for almost a year's worth of storylines because of Shawn.

I genuinely couldn't see HBK(who called the shots 100% in 96) agreeing to work with Warrior. He basically did what he wanted in 96.
If the original plan of Vader beating HBK at Summerslam 1996 had went ahead? I could have seen Warrior getting a title shot at Vader during a special programme but with the pressure Vince was under in 96 who knows what he would have tried?
As somebody suggested above maybe he would have turned Warrior heel?
