Perhaps Bill was saving it to show at Super Toy Con in two weeks? Just a thought. This could be true.

said this on the SDCC thread as well. Surprising it wasnt shown as we have seen the figures already. Thought they would have been ready for the reveal

I like BAFs, however I wish it was like marvel legends and DC classics and moved to the standard 20 dollar elite waves with no increase in cost. doesnt even have to be every wave maybe two out of the six elite waves a year.
Create a wave with ravishing tights stunning Steve Austin, zybysko , tazz, tommy dreamer, ryhno, lesnar. And have a Paul e dangerously BAF complete with brick phone.
Create a wave 2001/2002 Rock, triple h, stone cold, Albert, edge and Christian ..have undisputed Jericho be the Baf.

They've never really done BAFs right. I need Mean Gene quite badly, but I've honestly been dreading having to buy the whole set again, as I hated wasting all of that money on Bearer... and the original Bearer set was even worse! Bearer should've gone in a BP with Taker after the debacle with the first series. We didn't finally get that figure for what, two years?
Gene concerns me. I want it bad, but they don't seem to like to release announcers and managers as singles, and the only obvious BP would be with a repainted t shirt series Hogan. I honesty don't want any of the figures in the series other then Okerland

It made Bearer come out to like 80-some bucks for me. C'mon!? I don't want to do that again with Gene.

I dislike BAFs, but I've said it before... if it's the ONLY way Mattel can give us guys like Bearer and Mean Gene, then I really hope they continue.
With the recent Legends Battelpacks though, I don't see why they couldn't do something like an Undertaker & Bearer set or Macho/Warrior/Flair (pretty much any '80's guy) & Mean Gene.

Anyone know how likely it will be to catch these on ebay? I don't feel like buying all those figures I don't want just to build Paul or Mean Gene, but I'll spend a little more to get them off eBay.

I'd be glad if they did, but only if Mean Gene and the rest of those figures became a regular upcoming basic set.

I would rather them do a mail away. Like the attitude points was. Do it something like Elite-3 points Basic-1 point And 2 packs 2 points Have the figure be like 15-20 points and it comes out to basically the same thing. Buying pointless figures for one

If it is cancelled, how about a 2 pack of Mean Gene and a re-released Superstar Entrances Macho Man (with purple tee and blue jeans).

Bill said the figures shown at SDCC (Sheamus, Stone Cold, Warrior and Neville) we're the TNF set to come out after this next one, but the "next one" wasn't shown. Maybe the BAF set is part of TNF.

The line is definitely flawed. It forces you to buy figures you would never purchase in the first place. How many people who want Paul Bearer want a basic Rusev or Neville? If you're building a manager wouldn't it make sense the figure you need to buy to build him/her would be the people they managed? To build Bearer you should have to buy Undertaker, Kane, Vader, and Mankind (I know Foley wasnt under contract at the time of release). Same with Mean Gene. There is not one figure in that set I want to own. Why wouldn't the set consist of wrestlers from the golden era of wrestling? Piper, Warrior, Savage, JYD, Steamboat, Andre, DiBiase, etc?

This is a fantastic point. I am sure there are people who just wanted one of the figures and wound up with a part of Paul Bearer that they didn't want or need. I am not a fan of build a figures, but it SHOULD make sense, and the figure you are building should relate to the others you have to collect. (This is a great idea btw). For example, Build Bobby Heenan in a black jacket by collecting: Haku The King Harley Race Hercules Brooklyn Brawler I think it would help significantly if these were characters that haven't been released yet.

I like this idea. I get the idea behind the BAF line is to sell 4 more figures (most of what you wouldnt buy like a 3rd basic Rusev) and to pay more for them on top of it. Mattel does it for the money. Why sell it ina battle pack for 20 when you can make 50 on 4 figures? With that being said I would happily shell out 50 for something that makes sense like the guys he managed or 4 legends to get a Gene instead of guys I couldnt care less about. Hell Rusev was just a straight repaint.

Well I think it is still coming. I don't think it was supposed to be released until the fall so I doubt WalMart would have cancelled it. Especially seeing the first set with Bearer sold so well.
