WWE SummerSlam 2016 August 21st, 2016; Brooklyn, New York Kickoff Show;Renee Young, Booker T, Lita & Jerry "The King" Lawler ran down the card and discussed possible outcomes to the key matches for SummerSlam.American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan) def. The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch)American Alpha’s Chad Gable pinned Gotch following the Grand Amplitude.Dolph Ziggler had some promo time to discuss his title match against Dean Ambrose later in the evening. Ziggler has been waiting for this chance his entire career, his entire life, and he will not stop until he is the WWE World Champion. He didn't come to SummerSlam to show off, he came to steal the show and become the champion he deserves to be.WWE United States Championship: Rusev defeated Sami Zayn The Underdog from The Underground gave The Bulgarian Brute everything he had, including his signature turnbuckle DDT. One missed dive from Zayn spelled the end as Rusev targeted his back with big Suplexes and strikes, eventually holding onto his gold with The Accolade.Renee and the panel went in depth in talking about Cena vs. Styles as well as Finn Balor's chances of becoming the inaugural WWE Universal Champion when he takes on Seth Rollins in the Main Event. The Highlight Reel with Kevin Owens Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens duel on the mic as the crowd go back and forth on who they like more. Jericho asks Owens how it feels to have fallen so far from his great beginnings in the WWE, to which Owens snappily responds by asking Jericho how it feels to be an ageing quasi rock star.
Here come Enzo and Cass to a massive ovation from the crowd. Enzo tears down Jericho and Owens, calling them a couple haters as the two look on. Enzo has to pause momentarily as he talks, letting the crowd get their chants in. He continues his spiel before being interrupted by Jericho who says that just because we're in New Jersey, doesn't mean he can come out here and act like he owns the place. Massive heat from the crowd. Enzo looks shocked and disgusted that Jericho thinks he's from Jersey and rips off his jacket looking for a fight, having to be held back by Big Cass. Owens laughs it off and says that if Enzo wants a match, they've got four people and a ring. The crowd begin a “YES!” chant, but Owens quickly cuts them off by saying that he'd be happy to if it wasn't teaming with Bon Jovi.
The four men go back and forth at one another before Raw General Manager Mick Foley interrupts and says that Raw is all about capitalising on opportunity and how better to do that, than with an impromptu match, RIGHT HERE, in Brooklyn! The crowd go crazy as Foley tells Jericho and Owens to get ready, because that match is going to happen right now. Owens and Jericho continue to shout at one another in the ring as Big Cass says he has one word to describe them.
SummerSlam;Enzo Amore & Big Cass def. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens Big Cass and Kevin Owens started the match out with hard hitting shots as Enzo and Y2J were screaming from their respective corners. Enzo and Cass have the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands and the whole arena gasped late in the match when Jericho hit Enzo with a codebreaker. Cass managed to break it up at the last second only for Owens to clothesline the both of them out of the ring. Jericho attempted to lock Enzo in the Walls of Jericho but the Smacktalker Skywalker caught him with an inside cradle for the big win.Shelton Benjamin def. Baron Corbin Benjamin made his in-ring return to the company on Smackdown last Tuesday night, defeating free agent Heath Slater in a match where Slater could earn himself a contact on Smackdown Live. The crowd were into Shelton, despite visible decline in speed and agility. Corbin worked a long heat that felt twice as long as it actually was and apathy ruled when he was in control. Shelton countered the End of Days, connected with the Dragon Whip and T-Bone Suplex for three.- Becky Lynch had some promo time in which she expressed her desire to end her long standing grudge with Natalya. She was interrupted by Alexa Bliss who informed Becky there would only be one female face of Smackdown Live, and Becky was looking at it. Becky told Alexa to "Bliss off," and made her exit, much to Alexa's fury.2 Out of 3 Falls: Becky Lynch def. Natalya Not as crisp as it could have been. Natalya won the first fall with the Sharpshooter. Becky sold the leg really well. Hit a Leg Drop off the top but was unable to follow up with a cover. Becky tied the match with an Inside Cradle of a second Sharpshooter attempt. Lynch would secure the third and final fall, forcing the submission with the Dis-Arm-Her.WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day def. The Club This match was short and unfortunately forgettable, other than Big E nearly killing himself spearing Karl Anderson to the outside of the ring. Everyone in the ring gave it their all, but it never seemed to click. Big E struggled out of The Magic Killer, throwing Gallows into a Trouble in Paradise from Kingston and rolled up Anderson to continue the record setting reign.Roman Reigns vs. The Big Show ended in a No Contest Reigns and Big Show were out to kill each other. Reigns connected with a massive Superman Punch right out of the gate which sent Big Show staggering backwards, he attempted a second but walked straight into a big Chokeslam from The Giant. Hard hitting action, one of the most hostile crowd reactions in years and Roman Reigns delivering the Spear to Big Show through the barricade ended up with both men being counted out for their efforts.AJ Styles was reunited with his Club stable mates, Gallows and Anderson. They expressed disbelief that they were unable to defeat the New Day earlier in the evening. On the bright side, AJ still gets to do their favourite thing ... Beat up John Cena.Grudge Match: AJ Styles def. John Cena Styles out wrestled Cena in the early portions, frustrating Cena. Big Match John resorted to raw power to gain a foothold in the match. The fans were split, although they were noticeably in favour of Styles at times. Cena caught Styles across his shoulders as Styles attempted the Phenomenal Forearm and delivered the Attitude Adjustment for the first big near fall of the contest. AJ would also survive the STF before making a comeback and connecting with the Styles Clash. Cena survived that but two Phenomenal Forearms later and a second Styles Clash would prove enough to put him away, giving Styles a surprising victory.Intercontinental Championship: Apollo Crews def. The Miz w/ Maryse © via Count Out Short match. Crews out muscled Miz in the early portions until Miz gained control following a kick to the knee and Snap DDT. Miz was cocky and worked the crowd, taking a moment to mug for his wife at ringside. Crews made a comeback and would go on to hit the Standing Moonsault. Maryse pulled the official from the ring, ensuring the count would not reach three. Miz’s surprise roll attempt on the distraction would fail to garner him a victory and after almost suffering the Crews Control, the champion opted to take a walk, getting himself intentionally counted out.Randy Orton def. Brock Lesnar Lesnar was over as you’d expect, although there were some detractors given his recent USADA violation. Orton attempted to deliver the RKO right out of the gate but Lesnar countered. Brock would dominate Orton with Suplexes until the fight spilled to the outside. Orton leveraged Lesnar into the barricades and would deliver his DDT variation after suspending Brock from the ring apron. Lesnar was rattled and once they returned to the ring. Orton fired up with Clotheslines and a Powerslam. He looked for the RKO again but Brock countered. Lesnar delivered yet more Suplexes and applied the Kimura, putting pressure to Orton’s injured shoulder. Orton survived and after landing on his feet following an F-5 attempt, he connected with the RKO. Orton delivered a second and a third RKO before following up with the Punt to put Lesnar away. After the match, Lesnar stumbled to the back, rattled after his defeat. The lights went out as Orton celebrated in the ring. When they returned, Bray Wyatt was standing behind him. Wyatt ushered Orton in and delivered the Sister Abigail, laying him out. Follow the Buzzards.WWE Women's Championship: Nia Jax def. Sasha Banks © The entire world was behind The Boss, but the sheer dominant force that is Nia Jax proved to be too much on this night. Sasha fought until she could fight no more, throwing everything she had at The Force of Greatness. Sasha managed to knock Jax off her feet once with double knees from the top turnbuckle but her delight was short lived as Jax soon hit a massive Clothesline and followed up with three consecutive Leg Drops to The Boss to see her first taste of WWE gold.Renee Young conducted an interview with Dean Ambrose backstage. Ambrose doesn't show off, he shows up and he fights until he can't fight no more. That's what Ziggler can expect tonight. Ambrose says Ziggler has an opportunity, but it'll take more than opportunity to pry the WWE World Championship from his hands.WWE World Championship: Dean Ambrose © def. Dolph ZigglerSlow to get going. Crowd rallied behind Ziggler as the match wore on, although there was also a large Ambrose contingent present as well. Ziggler hit his Jumping DDT, Zig Zag and a Famouser for near falls. Ambrose looked beaten after a series of Stinger Splashes in the corner but was able to avoid the third in succession and connect with Dirty Deeds. Dolph kicked out but after both men battled back to their feet, Ambrose delivered his patented manoeuvre a second time to secure victory, and the title.WWE Universal Championship: Seth Rollins def. Finn Balor Rollins underestimated Balor early in the match, almost letting himself get beaten with a close roll up. The two men gave it their all with the crowd split almost evenly throughout. Both men hit big dives to the outside, tore chests apart with chops and hit fierce kicks. The ending of the match saw Balor reverse a Pedigree attempt into a jackknife cradle for a close two, before connecting with 1916 and attempting a Coup de Grace only for Rollins to roll out of the way. Balor turns around into another pedigree attempt, he reverses again and tries for another 1916! Rollins manages to reverse, hits a shot to the gut and connects with the Pedigree in the centre of the ring to add yet another accolade to his resume. The show came to a close with Rollins celebrating a monumental title victory.

Very nice work thus far. Where are the Cruiserweights though? Also hoping you fix up the Raw layout a bit, it could stand out a lot better.

Not digging Sasha Banks losing her first run as champion so quickly, even to a powerhouse like Jax. Only real complaint tho, always been a fan of Daz when he appears on the board, so I'm looking forward to this.
