Because apparently they don't do anything.
This board is flooded with junk, mostly part swaps.
It needs cleaned up.

I'll admit, I've noticed some blatant flouting of the custom posting rules clearly pinned at the top of this board. Still, as it seems unlikely there'll be any change of mods, it seems more likely that the rules themselves just need to be changed. While part swapping may not be the most in-depth sort of customizing, when I think of customizing say, a car, more often than not that means part swapping. So, it doesn't seem all that big to me, just not of the same level as the folks who are putting blood sweat and tears into sculpting, sanding and painting things. On the other hand, I still hold with the rule about not posting customs that are not your own here. Perhaps in a sub-board or something, for discussion's sake, but not in the main board.

realistically you could pin a "Fix Ups" thread in each board (Mattel, Jakks, Wrestling Other Brands and then Other Figs toys & collectibles) and then just boot this board. Its honestly been a ghost town for 5-6 years or more.

I saw what you meant there, Spooky. The rules would certainly dictate a lot of the posts be moved to the custom discussion thread. It just means somebody taking the time to review posts and actually do it. Hence your original proposal.
And Nivro, are you seein' the same customs board I'm seein'? There are customizers on here cranking out some seriously legit stuff, beautiful work, and we're not talkin' part swaps here. Spooky is just one of the many fine folks still on this board producing impressive work. I can only imagine what it must have been like 5-6 years ago, if this kind of quality activity is considered a ghost town. This board is the main reason I come to this forum, and I haven't stopped enjoying the customs yet!

Dude started throwing a tantrum because he lost in the finals because I reused a custom for that round (which was allowed and he did too  ) He whined so much that my win got taken away and we both had to make whole new customs in the span of a week and then voting began again. Sadly I couldn't afford a to make anything new and he stole it from me. |
