Just wondering if anyone has any ring used items and stories about how they got them or have any cool stories about catching something thrown into the crowd or nearly catching something thrown to the crowd

I used to own a piece of Jeff Jarrett's guitar. I was at a WWAS show nearly 15 years ago. He hit Sting with his guitar in the main event and won the match. It was a bit of a Mickey Mouse outfit so security was pretty minimal. After the show, me and a couple of others parted the guardrail and took a piece of guitar. Thats when we all realised that it was just pieces of corrugated cardboard. That was hilarious, we still took it though.

At Bodyslams Arena in Reading, PA. After a match between Public Enemy & The Eliminators, I found the vinyl record that Rocco Rock bent over Saturn's head. It was a Lawrence Welk album. I left it there.

I caught a DX glow stick from Triple H at a Raw. He threw it right into the taped off media section where I was. There was a kid about 10 feet away in a DX shirt, just losing his mind that he was so close to it, so I picked it up & gave it to him.

Went to a concert with this sorta local band, they're just 4 chicks who play punk music and act slutty, caught the bassists panties. My mate ended up puking on them. T'was a good night.
As for wrestling shows, haven't caught anything but got HHH's water over me when he spat it out. Sorta gross, sorta cool.

At a RAW brand house show in 2003, Val Venis tossed his towel in the crowd and being ringside, I caught it and put it on my shoulder. I heard the crowd start chanting "THROW IT BACK! THROW IT BACK!", so I looked around at the crowd as a superstar would, and tossed it back to the ring. It hit the top rope and fell to the floor, to which Mr. Howard Finkle himself, had to walk to the other side of the ring to retrieve it (he looked annoyed at that moment). But I got a good reaction once I threw it back.
As far having ring used items, aside from my own gear as a former indy guy, I've still got some debris from a table that DOC (Luke Gallows) went through, at the hands of Bully Ray. Was able to acquire these after the TNA house show in 2012, from being one of the Gutcheck contestants that day who helped tear down the ring after the show. If anyone wants this debris, I have it on sale in my eBay store, just search for it.

I have an old WWF turnbuckle from a ring that my dad used to own. He ran an Indy fed in the 90's/early 2000's and came to own this ring that was rumored to be a ring VKM left at the Garden for house shows and such. No one ever believed it and one day he realized that the front of the turnbuckles was a slightly different shade of blue fabric and decided to cut it off one of the extras. Sure enough underneath it has that old yellow wwf logo. Man I wish he still owned that ring but at least I still have the pad.

Only thing I got is when I was 11, Stone Cold and JR were standing on the announce table drinking beer after Raw went off air. I was right under them basically as I was right at the barricade and they got beer all over me. I loved it, and surprisingly my mom wasn't even upset. She was super cool. Still is. Raising two boys by herself. She took us to many wrestling shows. Hell, that's cooler than anything to me.

I am friends with Nikolai Volkoff and sold a few of his ring worn items on and off ebay. We sold two pair of WWWF black boots (pair worn during Bruno feud), a red pair (famous 1980s red), a Bolsheviks style hat, and three Million Dollar Man cent shirts. |

I almost got hit in the head by a piece of gum Mr. Perfect swatted before a match with Roddy Piper.
My buddy caught one of The Rocks elbow pads at WrestleMania when Rock fought Hogan.
Non wrestling is getting a high five from Dee Dee Ramone during a Joey Ramone solo show at Coney Island High in New York City, got the high five and Dee Dee gave me his bass pick. Damn straight! Also another time got stage used Marky Ramone drumsticks that he signed for me.

Sorry, not at the moment. It took a lot for me to part with the vest. Also the person who bought the vest from me made an extremely generous offer on the hat that I turned down because, simply, I'm not ready to sell it yet so he has 1st crack at the hat & jacket, if & when I decide to sell. If that day ever comes & we don't reach an agreement or he's no longer interested, you are now 2nd in line. |
