These are getting more and more popular in games. Paying real money to get an advantage or to access content faster with less effort.
But be honest though, have you paid for a micro transaction on a video game? Apps are included as well obviously.
I'm certainly guilty of doing it on two games. Buying Shark Cards on GTA V when I first started playing online. I only wanted a couple hundred thousand to get me started, which would cost around $8. Nothing major except for the fact the money I just bought wasn't showing up on my GTA account. Me being me, I bought a different card which cost $12 I think. That didn't go through straight away either so I tried it again. Ten minutes later 1.2 million shows up in my account which I was still happy about. That delay ending up costing me an extra $24 but I felt like the richest person in Los Santos. That was well over a year ago and I haven't bought a Shark Card since. No need to.
Kim Kardashian Hollywood is the other. Yes I admit I played it and yes I admit I paid real money so my virtual character could finish photo shoots quicker. I can't remember exactly how much I spent on this game but it did get into three digit territory.
So go on, be honest. What games have you spent real money on and how much?

The only app I spent anything on was WWE Supercard to buy some titles to help out in the team events. Don't think I've spent more than £10 total on that though.
As for console games I think FIFA is the only one and even then it was only once or twice for a gold pack in ultimate team. That totalled only a few quid too.
In general I refuse to pay for things that you can earn normally through gameplay anyway. Yes it's faster to pay but we shouldn't have to.

I don't play any of those games that cost money to advance. You can easily rack up a $1k bill doing so

Never bought into the micro transaction crap. Of course, I'm from the era where games came with all their content on the cartridge or disk already.
I have bought some DLC of things like extra characters and levels, but I still always feel kinda miffed at spending money on those.

I feel guilty when i buy them like, i don't know what the point of me even buying this extra coins or whatever is for when a new game comes along anyway and those purchases were for nothing. Anyone feel the same?
I've purchased: CoD BO3 Cod points, NBA 2k16 VC, GTA V Shark Cards

I'm ashamed to say I've spent too much on GO and before that, Candy Crush.
