Jiu Jitsu baby! Let's go Nate!
Excited for the Cerrone/Story and Johnson/Glover fights too. I'm going for Cody too because he trains at TAM. Cerrone put on possibly the performance of his damn career against Cote. Ricks a tough SOB but pulling for Cowboy. Really up in the air about who to choose between Glover and Anthony though. Both are killer strikers and have monster power. I just wanna see a killer fight.
I feel like Randa is getting a quick turnaround too after her last win. Maybe it's just me.

Can't wait for this! It's hard to see how the result of Nate/Conor will be any different - but as we've seen, anything can happen...

Sean Strickland's out due to knee injury. They're looking for a replacement now.

McGregor is coming in prepared for a specific opponent for the first time ever. No one knows how it will go. I have faith he will do his job. But, even if he doesn't, huge respect goes to McGregor. Going up two weights and then taking the rematch straight away instead of running back to 145 where he is endlessly better than anyone in that division. I truly think this is the most unpredictable fight in a long time. So many factors just completely throw this either way. He had Nate for 8 minutes. He was landing that left beautifully (Joe Rogan was only mentioning a couple jabs by Nate though.. ) and obviously cut him. BUT, he was throwing like a mad man. Leaving his back foot every time he threw, going for multiple spinning kicks/capoeira kicks, he really did see blood and just go for the finish. If he'd have been methodical and more precise with his throws/attempts, who knows. He was gassed as hell and was obviously rocked. The whole " McGregor" bandwagon since March has been laughable, though. Proves how fickle most fans are.

Currently rewatching McGregor/Diaz I now - I hope for Conor's sake he switches up the left uppercut - it was such a tell first time...great fight though, and I have no doubt the rematch will be no different...

I REALLY hope he wins now after the last 24 hours. So many people have been worked by this man. It's hilarious.

McGregor is pretty bad on the ground. If Nate can take him down he wins it I think.

Thanks to UFC's YouTube channel for putting McGregor's fights against Mendes and Diaz I - really cool to watch again and refresh myself on McGregor's body of work...either way, I'm stoked for the rematch - just wonder if he can improve his takedown defense.

Nate stands way too heavy on the front leg. Hopefully McGregor can take him out, I think he wins the first fight if he picked his shots/wasn't lunging into everything he threw.

His performance against Mendes was great. I should check it out again.

I really hope Conor wins... I know he's a love/hate kind of guy - but I love his antics and trash-talking etc. I think Nate will win though... pretty similar to last time (maybe a bit longer).

I hope Nate wins too. I want to see what McGregor will come back with, not as an excuse IF he loses, but where he goes from there. Obviously welterweight isn't his preferred fighting weight, I'm just intrigued at the possibility he loses to the same guy twice in a division he doesn't normally fight at.

Also rewatched Nate's fight against Michael Johnson...loved him taunting Johnson, who really had nothing but the same tired game plan against him. Hoping Nate gets the W in spectacular fashion - but anything can happen, eh?

McGregor is pretty bad on the ground. If Nate can take him down he wins it I think. I don't know if it's as much that McGregor is that bad as it is that Diaz is so much better. Diaz is great at finding and creating openings on the ground, from top or bottom position. Don't let him sink in a submission? He'll find openings to punch you until you try to defend that, and boom. And Diaz, while he will sometimes throw the standup shots recklessly, I find more patient than Connor. Connor will throw caution to the wind and go for big shots constantly, Diaz finds openings and has great timing.

Connor will throw caution to the wind and go for big shots constantly, Diaz finds openings and has great timing. McGregor's fight with Mendes was the eye-opener for me about his ground game. And Chad is smaller and fought on two weeks notice so he wasn't even in fighting shape, hence why he gassed out. Another thing working against McGregor is weight (obviously). Those punches he landed on Nate in the first fight were strong enough to knock anyone out in his normal division. But a bigger guy won't go down as easily. Either way, I don't really have a dog in this fight. I like both fighters. And I find either scenario of McGregor or Diaz winning as entertaining. Then again, I probably lean towards wanting McGregor to win because it would be pretty bad for his brand (and consequently the UFC) if he loses again to the same guy, especially after all the drama going into this fight. I think McGregor has a lot more to lose than Diaz does. Should be a good one either way.

I find McGregor loves the windup on his big left hand quite a bit, almost using it as an exclamation mark on each exchange. Diaz is great with jabs, as seen against Johnson.
