I'm amused by the number of people who think just because WWE wrestlers are big and have lots of muscles that they can beat an MMA fighter in an MMA fight. Sure, the pro wrestlers with strong backgrounds in amateur wrestling or boxing might have a chance but thats about it and I still wouldn't put my money on the pro wrestler. Yes, even a John Cena size pro wrestler against a McGregor sized fighter is a mismatch...in favor of the MMA fighter. Just go back watch Royce Gracie from before the UFC had weight classes. He regularly embarrassed men twice his size. Nobody is saying they can beat up a MMA fighter in an actual fight. But they take immense pain every time they preform so they're the farthest things from p*ssies

McGregor is scrawny, 5'9, and 170 pound soaking wet. This guy may not be in WWE anymore, but Wade Barrett was a bareknuckle boxing champion who's 6'7, and 245 pounds and apparently he's a p*ssy yet I'm sure Wade could snap the guy like a stick

BUT if a fight between the two ever happened I will happily place a wager with you on the winner and we'll see who goes home with the fatter wallet

Fake fighting doesn't equal real fighting and he would put them away with some ease. McGregor doesn't know who Wade Barrett is. No one knows who Wade Barrett is. Most of the WWE is probably on some form of growth aid (always has been) whereas McGregor is a natural athlete (tested by USADA more times than anyone). He made 170 without cutting weight and dieting properly, it wasn't a struggle for him to get to 170.. I mean he's fighting that weight again. It was probably just a tongue in cheek "fake v real" comment, nothing more. He's played with Sheamus before in the media. He knows how to draw all crowds (look at UFC records, he holds them all pretty much).

He also refused to rule out a stone in WWE and stated he was a fan but just viewed it more as show business instead of fight business. He's not wrong, I mean seriously people seem to have gotten so upset about this it's just bizarre to me.

him. He fights twice a year, maybe.. WWE wrestlers put their body through more in one year than he will in five. His opinion means nothing.

This guy just loves attention and will do anything formot. He got choked out in his last fight and honestly he annoys the living shitnout of me to the point I hope he gets smacked up again. Wrestling is a very tough thing to do. From someone who was actually in a ring, I could hardly move the first day of bumping. It hurts.

People can say what they want about wrestling, but you've gotta be a special type of tough to do what they do. I invited my buddy along time ago to do "backyard wrestling" with me and my crew.. In an actual ring. Now my buddy is one of the toughest, scariest, most dangerous human beings I've ever met in my entire life.. He can smash someones face with one punch - true story.. He grew up to be an MMA fighter. And even HE had trouble with the bumps and slams and hits and kicks of professional wrestling.

This guy is turning into a bitch. If he keeps running his mouth, he will lose all his fans. Then again, if he loses matches and avoids press conferences, he would lose his fans anyway.
He might be good at fighting, but he would probably suck at pro wrestling - just like a pro wrestlers would suck at MMA, without training. Just like a basketball player would be bad at baseball, or a swimmer would be bad at hockey, if they weren't trained.
People talked down on Brock, but then he became the Heavyweight champ.
And this guy is only 5'9" and 170 pounds. Skills can only take you so far if you're a wee man.

He doesn't like pro wrestling. I didn't like clicking on ESPN's home page and seeing McGregor completely naked for the Body Issue. We all have things that don't suit our tastes.

We will see who the **** is when Amir Khan completes a mere 11 months of training, jumps into the Octagon and smashes that little chump.
Khan is well past his best, but he's a real disciplined fighter and he WILL prove that the UFC is nothing but Tweets and PR bullshit.
I can't stand UFC. Marks and kids think it's the elite mixed martial arts fighting league in the world, it isnt even within the top 5.
Antony Joshua could beat every single UFC fighter from a vertical stance, and Fedor would end every single UFC fighters life in the 1st round.
Danas pathetic little fanny league specially selecting fighters that don't expose his below par rankings. When his fighters make a lot of noise in the media, it distracts the public eye away from this perfectly.
Mcgregor was saying the same about boxing once upon a time, it turned out he's a massive self confessed boxing fan. Who like myself, considers UFC below par and idolises Floyd Mayweather. Take his comments with a pinch of salt, he's probably angling for a storyline.

As most examples of MMA vs Boxing have proven. From a vertical stance, most pro boxers would probably happily give up upto 3 weight classes to an MMA fighter, and still be favourite to win. It's a totally different game. It may be unimaginable to think a 'one dimensional' boxer could possibly beat a freestyled MMA fighter from a vertical stance, but that's sport for you. The gulf in quality is astronomical. (This example still does not apply to Wade Barrett, or near enough anyone within WWE.)

Does this guy (as well as some people in this thread) not know wrestling is a work and that the wrestlers are portraying characters on a television show that clearly states that it is such? I just don't get it. These MMA guys and their fans treat the wrestling community like crap and constantly antagonise them, knowing they'll recieve no reprecussions due to their reputations as "world destroying tough guys", yet much of the wrestling community have nothing but respect and admiration for the sport.
...Who are the "pussies", again?
