I guess Daniel Craig played a Stormtrooper. In a weird way, that's pretty awesome. I love that they kept Kylo Ren alive. I need to see more of his story. It's far better than the one off treatment poor Darth Maul got. Don't count Darth Maul out. Anyone else get annoyed at the bad attempts of humor through the film?

I believe some of you are overly harsh on the prequels. Each of them had alot of promise and I personally think Revenge of the Sith is the 2nd or 3rd best in the series. The Force Awakens was awesome. I saw it Friday morning and I've yet to stop thinking about it.. One thing you could notice was missing was George Lucas. Alot of you may think this was a good thing, but I think he should have had some sort of a consultant role. Something that bothered me alot was how Chewie didn't hug Leia when they got back from Starkiller base. She knew Han was gone, Chewie had just lost Han.. Those two have the most history, so why would Chewie walk right past her while Leia hugs Rey? Unless Rey ends up being the other Solo child, this wouldn't make any sense. Another thing was they had no other mention of Han after they returned.. No ceremony to pay respect or mourn Han.. And then they immediately rush the search for Luke.. I think JJ said thy had to cut about 20 or 25 minutes.. I think it showed in certain parts. I could sit here and nitpick, but I'm not right now. I loved the movie, I keep thinking about the movie, I can't wait to see it again so I can enjoy it one more time and have a much clearer perspective. yeah, there was bunch of scenes taken out...
- At least half of Maz Kanata's stuff was removed, including her making it to the Resistance Base and handing the Lightsaber to Leia.
- The Sledgehammer, a Resistance weapon that was basically a huge ship that could ram other Capital ships. Was to be used when the Resistance helped rescue Han and Co., with it ramming the Star destroyers in orbit.
- All of Constable Zuvio's stuff on Jakku was removed.
- there was a scene on Starkiller Base, where the FO found the crashed Falcon, and Kylo Ren went inside and sat in the cockpit, reminiscing.

It's far better than the one off treatment poor Darth Maul got. I think I saw Aisha Tyler in one of the shots of the Republic planets before getting nuked by Starkiller. Not sure of any other cameos but there had to be more. Overall I enjoyed the movie, probably my third favorite Star Wars film. Much better than the prequels with all their political BS that nobody cares about.

This makes a lot of sense. Zuvio got pretty good merch treatment leading up to the movie. I was wondering what happened.

So what do you guys think.. Does Luke Skywalker kick the bucket in this new trilogy? Or does he make it out alive?
If he ends up dying, I'd only be okay with it if he doesn't do it until Episode 9.. I don't want anything to happen to him in Episode 8.

I really hope they don't go that route, it would be crushing to my childhood.

Luke needs to stick around and be a new (alive) Obi Wan. Carrie Fisher's daughter (who played on Scream Queens) also had a cameo

The Force is STRONG. Star Wars: The Force Awakens stormed the box office and walked away with $247.9 million in its first three days domestically (including $57 million in Thursday night "previews") along with another $281 million internationally for a massive $524.9 million worldwide opening. Suffice to say, this shatters the domestic box office opening weekend record of $208.8 million set by Jurassic World earlier this year as well as the worldwide opening weekend record...

It's well deserved. Amazing movie! I knew it'd be good, but not THAT good. Also, I'm thinking Luke should die this trilogy. It should be a heroic death though. It could be a lightsaber battle between Kylo Ren and Rey and Kylo knocks the person down, proving himself stronger. That person is about to die, until Luke comes in to save Rey and he fights off Kylo, until Kylo kills him. It allows Rey to retreat, like Obi Wan/Luke in Episode IV.

Yeah, I'm standing by to see how Jan 9th goes in China. I'm sure it will do well but China seems to be a wildcard at times in projecting sales. I know it's a stupid, petty, thing, but I 100% want to see Star Wars pass Avatar. It's going to be about longevity for Star Wars.
As for Luke dying, I'm not against it if it's meaningful. No moment will parallel the one we just saw from an emotional standpoint for me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm so tired of trying to read articles about the movie and seeing all of the crying butt hurt. I've never not liked a movie and then turned around and spent hours of my life complaining about it. So much of that seems to be going on right now. Maybe it's trolls, I know some of it is, but holy sh*t is it obnoxious.

So I saw a theory that was posted on LADbible from Tumblr (don't shoot me) and it was pretty interesting. Put it in spoilers below. "Ok so we got out of our second the force awakens showing and my dad was driving us home and out of nowhere he was like: ………………….Oh my god. W hat if kylo ren chose to go to the dark side so he could help the light side! And I was like what! So he was like hear me out what if he went to the dark side just so he could kill snoke! And thats why he’s so conflicted, and thats why he feels the temptation of the light side stronger than the dark! Thats why he talks to vader’s helmet, because he is gonna finish what anakin, the chosen one, started! He had to completely turn away from his family in order to do that! To become a sith fully and completely you have to sacrifice someone you love to death, in his case it was han! Thats why he tells han he feels like he’s being torn apart inside, because he doesn’t want to do it at all, but it’s the only possible way to become a sith and complete his task! Kylo literally utter the words “will you help me” to han, and han says “anything you need” (or something like that I cant remember)! What he’s asking is if han will die in order for him to complete his ing task Thats why it looked like he knew who rey was, because he needs to protect her thats why he offers her to be her teacher, he needs someone as powerful as rey it’ll be literally the dark side and the light side joining up to defeat one enemy together as one, which is basically what the force is. They live side by side in it thats why he’s so conflicted all the time, thats why his fight style isnt like a sith’s at all! They are always saying that the dark side and the light are together in the force They need the personification of both sides (kylo and rey) in order to be strong enough to destroy snoke! He literally has to become a sith to join forces with a jedi Because the light in him is so much stronger than the dark and he has to get rid of it in order to do what he has to do and save the galaxy with rey and luke ! He needs to know where luke is at all times so the first order wont capture him! What if they staged luke’s jedi order massacre!!! What if luke knows everything! what if kylo knows they left her in jakku so snoke would think she died in the massacre along with all the other jedis! And thats why he reacted that way when the guy said the droid had “help from a girl in jakku”! “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” You know how a lot of people are saying: oh but it looks so much like episode iv! Yes! I know!! It’s on purpose! Because the path they are taking is gonna be completely different! Episode vii was literally just an introduction!!!! Calm down people please it’s gonna be awesome! This is star wars we are talking about a plot twist like this is mandatory we are not getting “remakes” of the original trilogy I promise you Idk if u like it but I think its so ing awesome if thats the reason its the only possible good explanation in my head. Why someone that has leia as his mother, han as his father and luke skywalker as his uncle would turn to the dark side u kno Han dying wouldnt be for nothing, he literally died so his family could finish saving the galaxy Rey, kylo, luke, leia, finn and poe are gonna destroy the last sith together and bring balance to the force!"

Everywhere I go you got a few that have to nitpick and crap all over the film. Personally it hit every emotional cord I had hoped it would, and I loved every moment of it.

I have never been a Star Wars guy, only seen the original an part of episode 1 before going this weekend. That being said, I absolutely fell in love with this movie. I literally have nothing to complain about when it comes to it, and I'm ready for the next..

I think Kylo Ren is genuine in his actions and deep down conflicted much like Vader was. What he did you could tell was the hardest thing for him but what he felt would make him all powerful like Vader....it seems like he was never told the real truth about Vader's past or has become delusional about what he stood for when he was part of the Empire....I think the next two films are going to focus on Rey and Luke having to make him learn the truth about the past and ultimately bring him to the light and help bring down the first order. Unlike Vader, he'll be able to survive and live a full life as a Jedi......that's how you can tell how great this new chapter is already. All of this speculation and anticipation shows how great a story they crafted.

The Force is STRONG. Star Wars: The Force Awakens stormed the box office and walked away with $247.9 million in its first three days domestically (including $57 million in Thursday night "previews") along with another $281 million internationally for a massive $524.9 million worldwide opening. I just don't want to see them follow the same exact script as the original trilogy, with Luke now taking the place of Obi-Wan and Rey taking the place of Luke. I also don't think Kylo deserves to be the one to kill off Luke since it's already been established that he's nowhere near as powerful as Vader or Palpetine. There needs to be a conclusive, happy ending by the end of Episode 9 with all loose ends tied up. There also absolutely needs to be at least one more lightsaber battle involving Luke, possibly against Snoke as we continue to find out more about him.

Don't count Darth Maul out. Anyone else get annoyed at the bad attempts of humor through the film? I loved me some Darth Maul. Would love to see him again somehow/someway. Watch the clone wars. The series takes place in between episodes 2 and 3. Maul actually survived getting sliced in half and falling down that pit. He used the force to stop his fall, and crawled through a vent in the pit. He crawled onto a cargo ship that was departing Naboo, and escaped. There's a lot more to talk about lol

Rey destroyed Kylo at the end of their battle, Kylo needs to prove he's just as strong, if not stronger.

Rey destroyed Kylo at the end of their battle, Kylo needs to prove he's just as strong, if not stronger. The problem with all of that is that Kylo has already proven he's not fully-consumed by the Dark Side. So, how could you have a guy like that kill the greatest Jedi of all time? Also, killing off Luke would be sort of pointless at this point since we've learned that there is another Jedi in Rey. The whole reason the First Order is looking for Luke is to destroy the last remaining Jedi. Well, now that Kylo knows that Rey is powerful with the force, wouldn't it be more important for Kylo to kill her rather than Luke?
