I don't know about anyone else, but I'm so tired of trying to read articles about the movie and seeing all of the crying butt hurt. I've never not liked a movie and then turned around and spent hours of my life complaining about it. So much of that seems to be going on right now. Maybe it's trolls, I know some of it is, but holy sh*t is it obnoxious. ...totally agree, it's really tiresome - some of the hate/posts on the IMDB forums are just ridiculous...

Kylo Ren I feel is deserving to take down Luke. Maybe not the same way I said, but Kylo needs to be shown to be a person not to be messed with. Rey destroyed Kylo at the end of their battle, Kylo needs to prove he's just as strong, if not stronger. The problem with all of that is that Kylo has already proven he's not fully-consumed by the Dark Side. So, how could you have a guy like that kill the greatest Jedi of all time? Also, killing off Luke would be sort of pointless at this point since we've learned that there is another Jedi in Rey. The whole reason the First Order is looking for Luke is to destroy the last remaining Jedi. Well, now that Kylo knows that Rey is powerful with the force, wouldn't it be more important for Kylo to kill her rather than Luke? I keep liking your posts hoping to keep Luke alive!! LOL So who's goin to start the petition keep Luke alive or we riot!! just kidding so please no petitions.

Harrison Ford always wanted to die in the original trilogy.. I feel like him agreeing to come back might have been on the condition that he die.
Killing Luke is opening up a can of sh*t that Lucasfilms would not want to deal with. Luke is Luke Skywalker.

I feel like it would make him finally fully onto the dark side. Even if it's not Kylo who kills Luke, I think he's dying this trilogy. Maybe it's Snoke who kills him. I'm SUPER interested in Snoke's character and how he turns out. Kylo is definitely going to come back stronger than ever, Snoke wanted to bring Kylo back to finish his training. However it turns out, I know I'll enjoy it. Unless it's all politics again.

Right, but when it says at the beginning that the First Order will not rest until Luke is dead because he's the last remaining Jedi. So, they didn't know about Rey until that point. I'll say this, this is sure going to be insanely fun/aggravating to debate for the next year and a half. For all we know, any of these theories could turn out being right or none of them could, haha. That's what makes this new trilogy already so amazing, I never had this much fun in any of the prequels!

They now know about Rey so do you think they'll focus on Luke, the jedi, or both? Maybe Luke trains Rey and they kill Luke to get to the jedi's head? I have no clue, but I have a strong feeling Luke dies this trilogy. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm gonna keep guessing until I'm sitting in those seats again watching Episode VIII

Saw the film today with my mother. She saw the original films at the cinema and I think she was looking forward to this more than I was. We both loved it and she even cried a little at a certain part. Right in the childhood! It was also my first film in 3D IMAX and it was an unbelievable experience. I think I also now have a new crush in Daisy Ridley.

Someone made a good point saying that we will never get to see Luke and Han reunite again, which sucks.

Saw it today and I was pretty impressed. I've read some nitpicking here and there and I get some of the points but it does nothing to lessen how I feel about it. Great start to a new trilogy.

Just got back from seeing , sorry Avengers, but this is my film of the year. I'm a casual Star Wars fan, I've seen the movies but thats it, I haven't delved into the universe besides whats been in the movies, was planning on watching the others again before this but didn't get a chance to. Anyone who says they didn't get goosebumps at the beginning and end of the movie is a damn liar. Loved every second of it, even got some Kylo Ren 3D glasses to see the movie with. Can't wait for Episode VIII.
I'm on the side thinking Luke will go down in this trilogy, maybe even next episode, so IX is an hell breaks loose because Luke is dead kinda deal.

Went again this morning at 10 am thinking we might be able to combat some of the crowd since we were with 4 kids all under 9. Not a chance. The theater was sold out and the next two showings following it were the same way. We didn't even ask beyond that.
I've never seen anything like this honestly. Arguably the biggest cult following franchise of all time joins forces with Disney and is absolutely making a financial mockery of pretty much every movie that came before it, at least to this point. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I'm totally impressed. $49 million yesterday, on Christmas. Just wow.
I'll be going back for more too. At least once more and possibly twice depending how long it hangs around in theaters. I have quite a few friends who have already made 3 go rounds. It's just awesome to see imo.

It's officially passed the 1 billion mark, this is going to end up being the biggest movie of all time.

Well I plan to go see it in 3D again in the next few weeks so they can count on another £13 from me. I've never seen any movie at the cinema twice (not including the time the first Lord of the Rings reel was destroyed mid film so we got free tickets to see it again) but I have to experience this again.

Just saw the movie last night and I loved it
I knew nothing about the movie before hand except from seeing what figures came out from Hasbro, so that was nice not having a clue about what was going to happen
Loved all of the main characters, except Snoke. Thought the way they portrayed him was a joke
Called THAT scene waaay before it happened. Cool as hell to see nonetheless
Found myself not caring for Leia one bit
And it was odd to see Gen Hux talk shlt or talk down to Kylo to his face, and it was like no big deal. Don't remember ANYONE ever doing that to Vader or Dooku (not going to count Maul). Anyway just found that odd
If I didn't have to work 24/7 I would definitely go see it again. Great great movie overall

I too saw it in 3D IMax and though I normally am not a fan of 3D, I was amazed with how awesome it looked. I am waiting another week maybe two and then I plan on seeing it again.
