Emilia Clarke is cast in the Han Solo movie. Khaleesi is coming to the galaxy far far away (couldn't help myself). And people flipped their lids. I was shocked to see people upset at the casting of another "white brunette woman" in Star Wars.. IF SHE GOT THE JOB SHE GOT THE JOB. John Boyega, Donald Glover, Luptia Nyong'o, Oscar Issac, Forrest Whitaker, Billy Dee Williams, Donnie Yen, Samuel L. Jackson. And Chewbacca. |

oh FFS....this racial casting thing is getting totally out of hand IMO.....its absolutely EVERYWHERE you turn Word™ . Nonsense like...... back OT? Emilia Clarke is a great addition to SW. I hope this movie rocks our world boys.....I bet when we see a trailer we will all be sold. |

The cast is shaping up really nice and I have the utmost faith in Lord and Miller.. They are phenomenal.
As unnecessary as a Han Solo film is I think it will be extremely enjoyable.

Looking forward to Rogue One and Episode 8, but right now I'm not buying into this Han Solo film. It's unnecessary, Emilia is not a good actress, and Harrison Ford = Han Solo.

I don't understand why Disney is being like this with Rogue One presale. It's three weeks until a Star Wars movie releases and no tickets, not even any real information on when they will. It's just a movie, I'm not mad or anything, just a bit annoyed. I most just don't understand why they're being like this. Doctor Strange tickets were on sale three weeks before it opened

Have my Rogue One Tickets for Dec 16th 1 min past midnight showing.....excited now.
Also Rebels was fantastic again this week.....FANTASTIC. Thrawns portrayal & usage continues to blow me away lads. Its just incredible....better than I could ever have hoped for.

there doesn't seem to be as much hype behind this one as last? other than the obvious - movie isn't too long after the last one and that it is more of a star wars fan centred movie are the only ones i can really come up with. anyone have an explanation on the lack of hype for rogue one in the mainstream?

Nor should there be. Last year was something really special.. The roll out for Episode 7 is something I'll never forget and honestly I am so happy I was alive and able to be apart of it. The only thing I've see with as much hype as The Force Awakens was The Phantom Menace back in 1999. I view these two moments as milestones in cinematic history. For the record tho pre sale tickets for Rogue One have almost been as much as TFA. |

Hope you guys enjoy it! I'm going to be checking out from Star Wars related content as best as I can until Saturday. I read the spoiler free review from Nerdist and they seemed to think it was pretty great. So that's all the reviews I'm going to read.

Just home from seeing it and it was everything I was expecting it to be which didn't disappoint! The nods to Episode IV were fantastic, and done so casually as well. Perfect ending.

Well I can say with FULL satisfaction that Rogue One absolutely blew my expectations to shreds. It was an absolutely brilliant movie. Anybody who disliked the prequels/TFA and adored the original trilogy should have ZERO to complain about here.
I can say sweet FA without blowing it for spoilers but......Gareth Edwards GETS Star Wars and has a brilliant instinct for what we want to see.
Cant wait to see it again.
