Stormtroopers are not 100% clones of Fett. His DNA started to degrade and they had to start conscription etc to fill the numbers. So yeah anybody can be a Stormtrooper.....
On the subject of Boyega? I don't really get the buzz about him if I'm honest.....He has yet to wow me.

It is 100% approved by Lucas part of the Expanded Universe. That's why he didn't have Morrison voice over the Stormies in the OT  The cloners on Kamino had counted on Fett being around to be a donor for a good deal longer than he had. Given the amount of Clone Troopers they were pumping out for the Wars and subsequent Imperial conquest it makes sense. Now some of them still are.....and Hasbro even made a Snowtrooper with a removable helmet and Morrison head under there. But its possible they were more selective who they used Fetts DNA for......like maybe Commander level Troopers? But since Disney has(foolishly) binned the EU? JJ now needs an official onscreen explanation for this. |

From a machine malfunction? Like the black storm trooper is a defective product that underachieves but is kept around for the swing vote in the republic?? It was a joke. If you clone yourself and your clone has different skin colour, then it sounds like a malfunction to me... Who said anything about it underachieving, anyway? There was a recall on all black storm troopers.. They underachieved. It was in the papers. |

I thought he got to show off a range of emotions for what it was, a small budget sci-fi flim. Not only that I was excited to see him play a young Mike Tyson in the now shelved HBO mini series on Mike Tyson's early days. I was really stoked for that. But I've been following his instagram since he was announced to be a big player in the new Star Wars trilogy.. And he's just like you or me honestly.. Huge nerd, loves comic books and comic books movies. Listens to movie soundtracks on his iPod.. He literally had a nerdgasm when he found out he was cast in Star Wars. He's living the dream, and he's living it in probably the same fashion I would.. I just like the guy.. Plus it's always fun to see early work of an actor who then starts to grow into a star. |

On Rebels there was an episode where the Empire was training cadets to be Stormtroopers. None of the cadets were clones of anyone. Rebels takes place before A New Hope. Rebels is part of the new Disney continuity.

I remember hearing that there might be a flashback scene in this one....I was thinking maybe that woods scene with the sith looking guy was it. Maybe that could be one of the ancient original looks for the lightsabers....hence they got tired of chopping off they're hands and changed it up a little lol

Trailer looked fantastic. It gave me the same chills each Star Wars trailer does when that music hits. Hopefully this one delivers and I really think it is going to. I like the sword. Is it practical? No, but we are in a universe where Jedi Mind Tricks, talking robots, giant fur people & a little green elf are a common thing. So I can let that slide. And the fact that some people online are complaining about a black Stormtrooper is amazing to me. Grow up and get with the times. For all we know every stormtrooper from the original was black! It's probably because it's pandering for the sake of pandering. The clones were supposed to be Jango Fett clones, last I checked, Jango was white. So I guess there was a mix up with the cloning machine that changed the pigment of one of their clones... Obviously it's not worth complaining until we know the context. It could be another character disguised. Thank you for stating this. I stated this and got called racist by all the libtards. If the guy were in the middle of the trailer I wouldn't have noticed at all. But to put him in the begginning is saying "Look everyone! We have a black guy in our movie!" Lando was great, so was Jackson. This INDEED felt like pandering to the liberal hollywood community by having it be the first thing shown. |
