Episode VIII let me know Kathleen Kennedy is Jafar and Star Wars is Genie. "Sorry kid,I got a new master now." I'll catch Solo and Episode XI on Blu Ray at a friend's house. I'm not even going to pay Red Box price. You’ll regret not watching Solo in theaters. Its a great movie.

Surprisingly Solo was really good. Way better than R1 and TFA for me. It felt natural, had its own style, did some of the things right R1 did wrong even. Wasn't too over the top, didn't have annoying member berries throughout.
Especially after all the belly aching I did in this thread I kind of feel guilty now for not just keeping my mouth shut and giving it a fair shot. The marketing clips are all poorly chosen and not good out of context too so they did a bad job selling what has turned out to be a good movie.
I'd also say go see it in the theater! As long as you're expecting Indiana Jones or something similar you'd be good!

I f*ckin LOVED Solo. Now I was already expecting to like it? But it blew away my expectations completely. I rank the Disney SW offerings as follows....and hell yes Solo needs to have at least ONE sequel. Especially after we seen "that guy" in the hologram.
Rogue One Solo The Force Awakens The Last Jedi
BUT? Ive enjoyed them all tremendously.

I liked Solo a lot after being very skeptical. But to be honest I have enjoyed all of the new Star Wars movies. They actually feel like Star Wars unlike the prequels. All of these movies, even if they did do things differently than I would have, have blown away the prequels.

I went into Solo with low expectations, but I loved it. One of the best movies I have seen all year. I am so glad I avoided spoilers and to say my mind was blown is an understatement. I never even noticed or missed the lack of Harrison Ford, to be honest. I was not sure if I would be able to get past someone else playing Han Solo, but I did, much quicker and easier than I thought. Out of the four Disney Star Wars movies, this is by far my favorite. It is a fun movie and I hope that they make a few more.

Solo was awesome imo! Went in with relatively low expectations but was blown away with how good it was. I kept my expectations down a touch after The Last Jedi experience(which I also enjoyed) But man Solo totally surpassed them. Really really enjoyed it.

The only one I will see in theatres is Kenobi,if we do indeed get it AND it's Ewan.

Surprised at the love Solo is getting, cause I seriously didn’t enjoy it.
Some of the action sequences felt so out of place. I didn’t like Alden, he felt more like a guy cosplaying as Harrison’s Han. I loved how Han and Chewie met, the card games with Lando, but I really didn’t enjoy much besdies that. I felt like it didn’t really add or change anything with Han, I can watch the Original Trilogy & TFA without thinking of Alden. Donald Glover was fantastic as Lando, I thought he captured the charisma and charm Billy Dee brought. I found myself getting more excited over the references and the cameos than the actual story, much like how I was during Ready Player One. I was super bored throughout the movie and I felt it didn’t have a good flow. It’s definitely my least favorite Disney Star Wars movie

Glad to see Solo is struggling at the box office. I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life, but after the slap in the face that was TLJ, and with Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnson, and JJ Abrams literally going to war with the fans, im just burnt out on the series and everything Disney has done with it.
I won’t be seeing Solo and at this point won’t be seeing episode 9 next year either.

I genuinely did not expect to like Solo, mostly because I thought Alden was SO miscast. He surprised me, A LOT.
There was one moment near the end where he winks at a character and kind of waves as he walks away.... THAT was HAN SOLO.
I'd take another movie with him in the role!

I thought everyone did a great job of portraying their characters. Alden was easily believable as Han. Saw plenty of characteristics that makes Han who he is. Of course it's not the polished persona of Harrison's days, but are you the exact same person you were ten or twenty years ago? I thought it was an enjoyable watch but something kind of held it back from being up there with the best. And I think it was the lack of a solid enemy threat. We've always had a good empire presence, or at least the growth of it in the prequels. I know we saw stormtroopers but they were just kind of there with no figurehead. Paul Bettany did well with his role but it just felt a bit temporary and wasn't a strong threat. However, I absolutely loved the appearance of that person. Never would've predicted it'd be them to show. And it raises serious questions about the relationship with the other person in the scene. Really want to see how that story develops.

I saw Solo on Saturday and was kind of indifferent on it. I didn’t dislike it, but I just couldn’t get excited. I thought they could have gone other routes, rather than hyper focusing on pretty much a popular throw away line from Episode 4.
The Kessel run is cool I guess, but I would have much rather seen them explore Han’s time with the Empire. Instead of just briefly mentioning that he was kicked out of the Imperial Navy, show me why he was kicked out. They probably could have told a real cool story. Maybe have him escape the Empire in a Tie Fighter.
My other main issue was the ending. First off, there were so many swerves and double crosses, you would think Vince Russo wrote it. The other big reason I couldn’t get into the ending was that we already have the story for the next 40 years, so we know that what the ending sets up amounts to nothing, because you never hear about most of these people in movies set after this.
It was about what I expected, but maybe the focus could have been elsewhere.

I thought Solo was better then TLJ and TFA, however Rogue One remains my favorite Disney Star Wars film. I got extremely angry that some @$$hole had to spoil that scene with (you know who if you've seen the movie, I don't want anyone else who hasn't seen the movie to have the surprise ruined). However I got goosebumps still when I saw the scene (with you know who), and I absolutely felt emotional hearing my favorite Star Wars song in the background of that scene. I strongly recommend to see it, luckily my local cinema place has discount Tuesday, so I only saw it for $5 today! Also, Donald Glover and the actor who played Han (I forgot his name) nailed the characters.

Mangold confirmed to be Boba Fett director....hmm. part of me felt Fett's movie might have been scrapped in favor of him turning up in the Solo sequel's....
Great directorial choice though!!!

I decided against Solo because honestly episode 8 killed Star Wars for me.

Just got out of Solo. Very fun movie. I liked it a lot. Doesn’t F up any other movies or established stories/characters. If I was a kid, I’d be in love with this. Star Wars never needs to reinvent the wheel.
Loved that it felt like Clone Wars/Rebels fans are being acknowledged in the films.

Love that too......The "Star Wars Story" segment is exactly where to do it too.
