Well that was another brilliant episode. Amazes me how well they continue to develop the characters.

Unironically think Fennec might be my favorite thing to come out of the Mando series.

"Yeah right." "God they're really teasing." "At this point I'll be mad if it isn't him." "Lol it's not him, everyone on the internet are gonna be so mad." "Wait."

I really really don't want to be a downer about this because it's awesome and enjoyable but I hate the uncanny valley that some 'unspoken' tech causes. It just completely pulls me out of the moment and I have such a hard time suspending disbelief. Thankfully it wasn't even close to as bad as Tarkin in Rogue One.
Their hearts are in the right place though!

That surprise was great. I felt like a kid again watching the OT when he showed up and started wrecking havoc.
I’m conflicted because this show is great, and that surprise cameo was one of the best things Disney has done with Star Wars, but it still sucks knowing how they ruined his character in the sequel trilogy.

Yup. i wanted Luke to turn up and do something like this in TLJ and die allowing the Resistance to escape. Man I marked out for the lone X Wing...I mean I in freaked out

Their hearts are in the right place though! Are you referring to the believability of the effect? For me, it's when they speak that it starts to really show. Not sure if you saw Terminator: Dark Fate, but James Cameron originally wanted a scene of Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong having a conversation in the flashback. However, he canned it because the de-aging didn't look so good when they actually spoke. I'm sure the technology will be refined over time. Either way, I do understand where you're coming from... But it's still fun nonetheless. That being said... if you're referring to the can of worms that can be opened with bringing back people digitally... well, unfortunately, yes sometimes it does arguably go too far... I LOOOOOOVEEEEEEEE YOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU

So I was wondering, and I'll ask this without really giving spoilers, but has it been confirmed what The Book is? Is it a spinoff or is it the third season?

I LOOOOOOVEEEEEEEE YOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU That is what I'm referring to. I hated Tarkin. I would have easily been able to handle a recasting there or even ignoring the character entirely/having their involvement be just from a voice actor. The entirely CG character wasn't for me. I thought Leia looked awful also. This was obviously a bit of a different situation but...not by much. It is definitely fun, you're absolutely right about that. I guess I just wish they would take more of a 'Jurassic Park' approach (utilizing shadows, hidden extremities to make up for the shortcomings) without disappointing people. Maybe if he had kept his face partially obscured by the cloak? Voice is also a dead giveaway for me too. I'm actually shocked that the original actor provided the VO as while it was happening I didn't think it was them at all.

That's what I was thinking when I first saw it. Then I started thinking maybe it was a way for a different direction with the next season, and I saw others were thinking it. I do hope it's a spin off. I will say with the group that's involved with the Mandalorian, this is what you get when you have people who love and respect Star Wars, and show respect to both the lore and characters as well as the fans of the Star Wars world.

I think they're going to up with all these spinoffs. They're repeating the same mistake they made when Force Awakens was a big success. They're spamming too hard now. Republic spinoff. That Rosario Dawson spinoff. Obi-Wan spinoff. Now a Fett spinoff? All with Mando still going. Yeah, Star Wars fatigue will absolutely kick in. And sadly one or more of those shows may be great, but prematurely cancelled. Also, is anyone concerned how Baby Yoda aka Grogu is going to affect the main story? I mean, clearly he wasn't a factor in the new trilogy (that we could see). If he is written to have had some behind the scenes effect, it will feel really forced. And clearly his presence wasn't enough to stop Luke from giving up and disappearing. The more that I think about it, the more I feel that the Luke cameo was a throwing a wrench in the main story for the sake of a short-term feel good moment. I love you.

Rewatched the final season of Clone Wars & loved that Xizor was one of Mauls lieutenants that he was speaking to via the holo network.
I think he'd be a cool villain for the Lando series 👌
