Kathleen Kennedy and Co know what they are doing folks.......and IMO we have NO reason whatsoever to fear Disney. Also shouldn't we be seeing a proper trailer for Ep VII VERY soon? Isn't the first full trailer going to be attached to Age of Ultron? I thought that was the plan. I hadn't heard.....here's hoping!! |

I'm assuming the first major trailer will either be on Age of Ultron or Ant-Masn. Don't know how rushed they feel. If they release nothing more than that 80 second teaser from last year it will still clear a billion worldwide lol.

Not sure if it was posted but I read an article that tickets will start going on-sale on, or around, October 19th. I guess that's for the US. Not sure if it's similar fore everywhere else.

Star Wars was a huge part of my childhood, original trilogy, the toys...hell I have a rebel alliance logo tattooed on the back of my neck. I dont even hate the prequels like so many do. That being said, I'm having a hard time getting hyped for this. Mainly, because I think the EU novels we're brilliant and in many cases better than George's stuff. I hate that Disney/Lucasfilm/whatever has decided to trash all of that. I almost don't even want to watch these...anybody else feel like that?

The EU would have spoiled any plot points going forward. I question why everything from ROTJ back was erased though. Maybe Disney has plans for Kylo to mention the fallen sith from the Old Republic? |

I loved the novels too but I think everything from here on out will be just as good and an interesting change. I bet we still see characters like Thrawn and Corran Horn in about 5 years at the latest. So far I love the new Marvel Star Wars comics. Star Wars, Darth Vader and Lando have been the best IMO. |

I'm super hyped for this and quite honestly Disney ignoring the Dark Horse(and others) EU doesn't hurt my enjoyment of them one little bit. Rogue One is really starting to pique my interest too. |

Anyone that hasn't seen John Boyega in anything yet needs to check out 'Attack the Block'. Cannot recommend this movie enough. ATB was great.....so unique and full of laughs. Boyega was of course great in it!! |

I still see no reason why the Thrawn Trilogy shouldn't be held as cannon. Mara Jade and the Solo Twins are the big ones for me from the EU, and Ben Skywalker by extension. I'm not really counting any of that out just yet though. I haven't read any spoilers, don't plan on it, but I think the connection to family within the story could be heavy. Rey and Ren could both be Solos. So I'm just waiting to see how it all plays out. I literally know nothing about Rey beyond her being a scavenger on Jakku. Same goes for Finn and how he plays into everything.
Seems feasible to me that Finn could be "special" in terms of midichlorian count and that Rey could have been born into her legacy. I'm extremely hyped but I'm in favor of EU tie-ins where possible. Seems like Boba Fett has gotten EU carry over treatment. No reason to believe everything else will be ignored. Again, we'll see.
