Not bad , concept might not last long term. Should have had this replace both KOTM and TNA championships- kind of like merge them or unified and keep the X division championship. Just my opinion.

The belt doesnt look all that great and seems to still offer the question of what the name of the company is, TNA or Impact Wrestling? The MMA like concept doesnt really work in pro wrestling. I know old school NWA used this as well, but I was never really a fan.

The concept is new, but that belt is ugly. It makes the spinner belt look good.

Looks alright. Will it actually be MMA? I like the concept. Everything looks fine as long as they still wrestle. A kayfabe MMA division? This is the type of crap that caused TNA to fail in the first place. Pro wrestling MMA pick one. My understanding is that this is MMA inspired . Meaning that it will still be wrestling but have that look of a legitimate sporting event. There was a British promotion that did this a long time ago. Sgt. Slaughter had a short-lived fed that did this as well. |

Decent looking belt, but bad concept, imo. An MMA style concept doesn't work in pro wrestling, unless it's a gimmick match.

I like the belt. I'm willing to give it a shot. IMO last weeks TNA was better than Raw and Smackdown combined.

I am glad they got rid of the KOTM Title.
That Title since it was created in 2008 has been the TNA Legends Title, the TNA TV Title, the TNA Global Title, and now the TNA KOTM Title. It was the bastard belt of TNA that always got a new name, and thus made it not seem ever as legitimate as it should have been.

I don't like the concept, I like the belt. They could turn it into a time limit belt just to add something different but now TNA are going to have 4-6 MMA gimmicks. It's a good idea but fans will quietly turn it down.

I was thinking, i think they should have had a couple of test runs with this conceot beforehand. That way before they introduced it to TV, they could have already had a bit of a feel on whether this concept would work or not

This belt looks like what a 3rd rate Indy wrestling title. Tna is a 3rd rate wrestling company, trying to lure MMA fabs over to wrestling, so it makes sense.
I predict the belt will get the "hot shot" treatment tna is famous for. Then the belt and the title holder will disappear after 6 months after it bombs. Then either the belt will be retired/renamed. Tna really does not have a clue what there doing.

I've got to be honest, I don't like the belt. It looks like something a kid drew up, and it got made. Plus, it looks kinda crappy with the Grand and Champion parts, being silver, while the rest is gold. It looks like they made the belt, realized they forgot to put the actual name of the title on it, and just slapped something on it. I'll give them credit for trying to do something different for one of their belts, in terms of how to win it, but I can easily see fans loosing interest in those matches with in a few months. And for me TNA Grand Championship, is right up there with WWE Universal Title, it just hits the ear wrong.

The title is the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP but the belt says WORLD CHAMPION. Maybe Dixie and Billy Corgan are related? |
