I used to have so many of these ring accessories and skirts. Unfortunately I was like 8 and totally lost and or wrecked all of them lol. And this is why im glad I have them now at this time and age. Had I gotten them as a kid (would have been 5 or 6 at its release date), they would have been "gone". This is why I no longer have the original 12 Jazwares Mortal Kombat figures... On the other hand, i think I do still have my first ever retail bought toy, which happened to be a ttl Kurt Angle. But his arm is bolted in with a screw and I lost his singlet. :/

What is the duct tape part? Is it that tiny role? Is it really duct tape?

What is the duct tape part? Is it that tiny role? Is it really duct tape? Pretty much. On the back of the packaging, it shows one a picture of the duct tape being wrapped around the upper half of the ring post. (Possibly to simulate the those pyro parts that would be taped around that part in real life) Seeing as I am using these turnbuckle pads for my mattel ring, I don't see a need for the duct tape yet, unless I find a way to make those small pyro parts and actually tape them on. Of course, I would like to get the black ring posts from the modern steel cage set first...

Thanks for answering my question! Man, I wish Mattel would come out with something like these.

Thanks for answering my question! Man, I wish Mattel would come out with something like these. Same here. I still give WCT props for the aprons and ring steps they've sold thus far. I just wish they would take it up a notch by giving us more choices with those and selling different color ring mats and other neat stuff... Basically a modern version of the ring gear pieces.

I've questioned getting the skirts for raw, smackdown and maybe a ppv one. But since I have a scale ring and I'm using my parts on that, I'll have to order custom ones...

I plan on buying a Mattel ring with the WCE nitro Matt and skirt, but idk what the difference is between the ones that are out.

I plan on buying a Mattel ring with the WCE nitro Matt and skirt, but idk what the difference is between the ones that are out. If you mean the rings, they are nearly identical. The only differences I'm aware of are the the latest WCT rings use elastic on the ring canvas to hold it instead of clips like Mattel and the older WCT rings and the turnbuckle posts are not interchangeable between the two. Since you would need black posts (provided by WCT Modern Steel Cage), I advise you to get a WCT ring. There are "other rings", but those are different entirely as they are based on Jakks' RSR

A few pics of my hardcore ring with the RAW set up. It's pictures like this that really make me wish I had one back when they were released. I feel I don't appreciate them as much because I never owned one with the ring gear pieces. But once assembled, it is definitely a sight to behold! Jakks did a fantastic job replicating the look of the canvas on these rings. That being said, I love how it looks! Do you have a titantron to match by some chance?

I did wrap a shirt to make the Matt looks more realistic. I thought it was neat to have the different ring skirts/ropes. I do have the old raw stage but I'll have to find where it is at. As for the ring posts they are better than the basic ring post that came with the ring, but I always worried about them breaking but I only broke one which was the blue wrestle mania version.

My apologies. You did an outstanding job with your ring! And it's funny because the ring posts themselves look strange because of the way they are angled from the corner, but the fact that they are separate pieces from the turnbuckle pads just makes it much more appealing to the eye than the standard ones. The turnbuckle pads are great alone and that's precisely why I wanted them so bad for my scale ring.

I do like the rubber pads the ones used on mine were a Booker T accessory set that I just removed the "Booker T" from the pads.

I had gotten a lot of 24 scratch logo pads to use on my RSR, so I had an extra set. But then I found an ASR at a yardsale for $25, so I got a third scratch logo set... Still trying to see if anyone needs the extras.
