I mean, even with Raw's ratings what they are, almost three times as many people see it than they do the Pay-Per-Views. But regardless, the purpose of Raw has always been to sell you the Pay-Per-View. Both the television ratings and the Network are hugely important factors in their overall business model (in fact, they're #1, and #2, respectively.) They did neither a service tonight. The show was bad, they headlined with a match they should've been promoting for Sunday, not giving away. They pissed off the people who wanted to see the match when it meant something this weekend, and they gave no one a reason to care about the match tonight. With a decisive finish, they've either guaranteed that Rusev looks like garbage if he loses Sunday, or they feed the 50/50 booking monster even more by giving him his win back. It's just amateur bullcrap. Tonight felt more like Monday Night Impact. Too many mistakes.

Once again Reigns closes raw. that guy. The Rollins/Balor segment would've been a perfect ending. There is no sensible reason the midcard title match should be closing the go home show over the segment hyping the match to crown the main champion. Stupid.

Raw was hot garbage. I might take it off my weekly recording list on my DVR, I'm probably better off just reading the results on Bleacher Report each week.

Bad episode of Raw. Giving away the Demon entrance was stupid. Ending the show with a 25 minute match already booked for Summerslam is stupid. I didn't even watch the main event. Obvious it was going to end with a Reigns win. Just awful all round.

Raw was... so weird, and bad. I mean I have very little if anything positive to say. I thought JeriKO's promo was bad. I thought Demon Balor shouldn't have happened at all. The New Day promo was met with indifference. All of these things I normally enjoy were just terrible. I guess I'll never get sick of Enzo calling Jericho Bon Jovi. So there is that nugget. The US Title feud was present throughout the entire show. John Cena didn't even get that kind of attention when he was having one great match after another as US Champion. What a terrible, terrible, ending. Just give the ing belt to Reigns already. I'm most disappointed about Balor though. If he only wears the paint at PPVs, then you have to sign up for the WWE Network to ing see him do the whole schtick. If he starts wearing paint on Raw every week then it's not special. The gimmick is him tapping into the Demon for big matches. Last night wasn't even a match, nor a special moment. They just sent him out there like regular Joe. Why are these small things that would make the show good so damn hard. I'm about to be out on Raw though. I largely enjoy Smackdown right now, and the only thing keeping me tuned into Raw right now is Rollins vs Balor, which hasn't been very good as far as feuds go. With one less hour and no run over, it's less of a chore. I feel... disappointed. It's one thing for Raw to be bad, or feel like a chore, but I genuinely feel disappointed. Disappointed that the pieces are right but they can't seem to move them around the board correctly or maneuver them in a way that matters.

Raw was terrible. Balor Rollins, Zayn Cesaro, & tag team feuds were amazing. NathAniel.

Post-draft Raw has been awful. The best of seven series between Cesaro and Sheamus will become boring fast since they've already fought twice in the last two weeks; and with nothing on the line, it's completely pointless.
Giving "The Demon King" away for free was a waste. Debuting him at SummerSlam would have been a great moment.
Roman Reigns main eventing Raw every week instead of them hyping the Universal Championship is bullshit. The Balor/Rollins segment should have closed the show.

I feel like people are missing the point of Balor showing up with the body paint on RAW this week. Balor's still new to the main roster and thus, new to anyone without the WWE Network. Sure, just about everyone on these boards has seen it time and time again, but for I'd wager that most fans (especially casual fans) aren't familiar with it at all. Having The Demon King show up on RAW gives them a little glimpse of what to expect at SummerSlam and no doubt will get several new Network sign-ups for SummerSlam. The Demon King appearing on RAW this week was basically a movie trailer and in that respect, it was a total success.
I do think they need to add a bit more smoke to his entrance while he's making his way down the ramp. That adds a little more mystique to the character I think. Otherwise, it was pretty darned effective if you ask me.
Overall, I've enjoyed both post-draft shows. Honestly, the only thing hampering RAW is needing to fill three hours each week, which is why I initially thought it would be a great idea to have both the Women's and Tag Team division exclusive to RAW (while SmackDown got the new cruiserweight division).

So I just gave the Demon's unveiling a second watch. I must admit after watching it again it was done really well. And I actually liked it. That being said. Corpus Christi. That crowd blows

There was absolutely no reason for Finn and Seth to have had any form of altercation last night.
If they wanted to get the fans familiar with Demon Bálor, they should've closed the show with that segment, with Bálor staying on the stage looking intimidating and Seth looking nervous.
No reason for Roman and Rusev closing the go-home show.
