Yeah, the knife reports are unconfirmed. NESN appears to have been following Twitter rumors. They also incorrectly identified a post-show video as fans showing their respect for Rollins, when in fact it wasn't a video from last night at all.
In any case, people who jump the barrier are the lowest kind of low and they deserve whatever happens to them as a result.

That's what I was thinking. When I go To football games I have to walk through a metal detector. I really don't care though because I would rather be safe then have these idiots You wanna hear something scary? I had to go to court last week as a witness in a case. I walked in and the officer by the big machine that scans you asked if I had keys or a belt buckle on. I said I had my keys and he told me to walk through. Of course it beeps, and he told me to go ahead in to the courtroom. I could have had a gun or knife in my back pocket. Dude didn't even get off his stool the whole time. That's pretty ed up. Talk about feeling unsafe

Rollins played it off pretty good. It's just so stupid of people. I wonder what provokes people to do this.

I saw another video of this in a different angle and that guy literally walked past three security guards which two of them were right next to the open gap of the barricade.

That guy is lucky it wasn't a live event, because I'm sure Rollins would of beat his ass. I still remember the video a month ago where a fan stormed in the ring during a Stone Cold and Triple H match and Triple H beat the crap out of the guy.

People didn't do it as much when the wrestlers beat the crapout of them for it. I'm not sure if people believe it isn't a show, or if they just think they'll somehow get over if they jump the barricade, but it's ing stupid to do. People baffle me.

They should be allowed to do it still, if they put a disclaimer on the tickets they'd have zero problems. And I bet that if people knew "hey if you jump the barricade your gonna get your ass kicked!" People wouldn't be jumping the barricade to often.

People wouldn't be jumping the barricade to often. The problem we run into now is that people can plead insanity for their issues. Even issues of jumping a barricade at a wrestling show. So if a talent kicked the ass of someone with mental issues it could fall on the company if the court believes the insanity case. I get that, but in this day in age with so many people that think consequences won't come from their actions and just do whatever they want to do. They really need to tighten up security or something, or fire the two or three you can see in one of the videos that were clueless when the guy ran past them. If they can't tell the difference between balor and a fan maybe they shouldn't be security.

Yes he did it was reported by NESN Sir, please don't misquote the article, it wasn't reported by him that he did have a knife. "As if that wasn’t enough, some people on Twitter are claiming the man had a knife. Those reports are unconfirmed." " Again, those reports are unconfirmed, and it’s still unclear whether the intruder was armed." nesn.com/2016/08/wwe-fan-reportedly-armed-with-knife-jumps-into-ring-with-seth-rollins/If he was, that's one thing, but until its confirmed, I wouldn't say so. Yes you are right, it is unconfirmed if the man had a knife. This story was reported by the Corpus Christi news and it has been confirmed that the guy bit a member of the security trying to subdue him.

Scenarios as this should never be taken lightly, as fans acting erratic and doing things of this nature, while not as extreme, always remind me of Dimebag Darrell and even more recently, Christina Grimmie getting senselessly killed. Security definitely need to be on their guard at all times, and be ready for anything and everything.
