If you're the committee you're praying for Alabama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Clemson to win out.

Auburn beat Alabama, with Miami losing as well let the College Playoff rankings shuffle begin.

I know nobody else lives around here but is anyone following the absolute uproar about Greg Schiano potentially being named Tennessee coach? It was announced around noon today that the contract was being finalized and the city of Knoxville and UT Campus has gone crazy over it. They're painting the rock (which is always painted to send messages from students), Twitter has gone ballistic and even State Reps are sending disapproval to UT Admins...This is nuts!

I've followed college football pretty closely since like 2004 and I actually had no idea Schiano was on the Penn State staff or was at all linked to the Sandusky thing till today. Obviously we don't know 100% that he or anyone else didn't have something to do with it or know about it at the time, but I'm guessing the right guy is in prison and people can chill about him being hired.

Its no so much whether he did or didnt know about it he just has ties to it and UT/fans want to keep their hands clean of that because the past few years they've had problems with sexual allegations and they're trying to take a legit stance on cleaning it up. Its the "better to be safe then sorry" stance. Apparently its being reported now that the fan backlash has caused UT & Schiano to step away from contract discussions and UT is looking elsewhere. Its also been brought to OSU attention about this and now some of their fans are in an uproar and are wanting him out as OSU DC.

They've been terrible for 3 straight years and I could see them welcoming him back with open arms more so than getting out the pitch forks and torches.

Latest CFP rankings are out
1)Clemson 2)Auburn 3)Oklahoma 4)Wisconsin 5)Alabama 6)Georgia 7)Miami 8)Ohio St 9)Penn St 10)USC 11)TCU
Looks like it comes down to this
Winner of Clemson & Miami is in. Loser is out. Winner of Georgia & Auburn is in. Loser is out.
That leaves us with 2 spots
If Wisconsin wins, they're in. If Ohio St wins they're out pending Oklahoma loss (Insert Bama) If Oklahoma wins, they're in. If TCU wins they're out (11 to 4 jump unlikely) (Insert Bama)
If Wisconsin & Oklahoma both lose and Ohio St wins, Alabama & Ohio St are in.
Penn St- Out USC- Out

This has been so entertaining I dont want it to end. In 2008 John Currie had Fulmer fired from UT and now in 2017 Fulmer has Currie fired from UT.
Like sand through the hourglass.....

Oklahoma & Georgia are in. I don't see Alabama getting in unless Clemson loses, Ohio State wins and the committee swings in their favor.

Sweet win by UGA. I was pretty confident all week. Johnson's injury, neutral site, revenge/overconfidence from the 1st meeting, and UGA beat themselves in the 1st half of that one, led to this.
Likely means Oklahoma is next which is a great clash of styles.

surprised that Jimbo left FSU for Texas A&M Too much money for him to turn down and support from A&M. FSU won't upgrade facilities and staff and he is tired of fighting. He is going to get full support now and top facilities but now has to go against Bama/Auburn/LSU every year and recruit in the SEC which is a different animal. It is going to be a much more difficult path to titles, but SEC/Texas recruiting/money is quite an incentive Malzahn may be gone too. Reports are Jerry Jones/Walton's/Tyson's (Walmart/Tyson Foods), want him there and will get him. Money and Boosters run College football not ADs and Presidents.

Like you said, it is highly entertaining, and like you said Haslem isnt calling the shots now but someone with Fulmer is I am sure. It's been a mess but is probably going to work out decent with Les Miles or even Tee Martin.

Ive been Tootin the Les train since Butch was fired (actually I tooted it when Les got fired) but any more with has hostile as this place is. Id kinda like to see Tee get the job. I almost wonder if its come down to Currie/Haslem/Manning vs Fulmer/Tee

I wouldn't have argued very loudly if Ohio State got in over Alabama, at least not to the level that I would have last year when Ohio State got in over Penn State. The final four shows some consistency for the committee from year to year as they have very clearly stated (not literally but through their example) winning a big five conference championship is NOT an automatic bid.
