Soo...Bama 1, Georgia 2? Michigan 3, Cincy 4?

As a Florida alum/fan I’m enjoying the SEC title game immensely.

Based on the SEC Championship game and depending on how things go later, I actually think Georgia should be left out of the playoffs.

Based on the SEC Championship game and depending on how things go later, I actually think Georgia should be left out of the playoffs. Bama gets a bye? Cincy vs Michigan winner gets rolled by the Tide? I've always been against rematches, especially conference teams on a national level rematch. But to me if Georgia is a #2 or #3 just to get the rematch with Bama and have the same result seems like a waste and devalues the conference title game. That's just my opinion. Also believe you need to win your conference as well. Notice two of the things I've said have benefited Bama under Saban in the past.

I originally wanted conference champions only going into a playoff but realistically that just isnt fair. Not all conferences are equal. For example Utah has no right to play for a National Title and Georgia would absolutely dust Utah. I think the rankings will be done where you dont get a rematch unless its in the finals. Assuming Michigan wins you'll get.. 1)Bama 2)Michigan 3)Georgia 4)Cincy That gives you Bama vs Cincy & Michigan vs Georgia...That gives you the max of best matchups... Bama vs UGA- SEC rematch Bama vs UM- Saban vs Harbaugh Cincy vs UGA- Peach Bowl '21 rematch Cincy vs UM- Michigan vs The "other" Ohio team

Georgia is fine. They were the clear best team for 12 games, and lose to a team ranked 1-4 all year. Bama showed they’re still Bama. 1. Bama, 2. Michigan, 3. Georgia, 4. Cincy… assuming Michigan doesn’t blow it.

Impressive win by Michigan...Im not against them being #1 but dropping Georgia to #4 after one loss would be quite interesting.

I'm sure they'll prove me wrong but I'm still not sold on Georgia being a top 4 team. The rest of the playoff field at least has a victory over a top ten team from the final playoff standings. Baylor at this point has better wins than Georgia.

Baylor at this point has better wins than Georgia. It’s hard for me to get caught up in that sometimes. Like, at the time Georgia beat certain teams they were better, or ranked higher, or whatever. They also beat some teams super easily who Alabama only managed to squeak by.

Michigan should be #1 but the committee gave Alabama a bye week because their top offensive weapon is out.

Is there anything in sports currently more disappointing than watching the CFP? Since its inception it's given us like three entertaining games lol

Another title game I'll be skipping. The last time I actually watched one was probably from the BCS era. Had they put Georgia-Alabama in the first round to get it out of the way I would have been somewhat interested. I really don't care about the outcome of the title game. But maybe this will be enough to expand the field. I'm sure we would just end up with Georgia-Alabama anyways, but maybe players wouldn't opt-out as quick if they were playing in the playoff.

At the very least, this has been a wild and entertaining Rose Bowl.

First half wasn’t to fun to watch but the second half got little more entertaining. I’m glad Georgia got the win.
