Damn man....i feel like i have to use the "R.I.P." phrase every couple of weeks it seems. I grew up while Fuji was still occasionally wrestling, but mostly managing. I remember him and Muraco very fondly. Then he managed Sika for a bit ,followed by his Demolition and Powers of Pain runs. Of course he got a shot in the arm by managing Yokozuna during his height of success. R.I.P. Mr Fuji. You had a great career and left a big mark on wrestling.

His reverse diving headbutt was amazing.
But let us remember him as Muraco's straight man.

He was my favourite manager of the old days. He was so good in his role & played such a big part in so many matches...
Makes me sad to see him go.

His reverse diving headbutt was amazing. But let us remember him as Muraco's straight man. imagine that now, with JBL and Michael Cole as the show "hosts" and Brock Lesnar telling jokes with Paul Heyman as the straight man

RIP Mr. Fuji. One of the greatest managers of all time and one of the funniest pranksters of all time (from stories I've heard from wrestlers). Not to mention one helluva wrestler.

No....... Was he still working in that movie theatre in your area before he passed away? Not to my knowledge. I didnt get to that area very often but to my understanding he stopped working there back around before he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. I think he was only working a day or two a week back when I got him the Jakks contract.

as a kid i only saw videos of him managing, but as i've gotten older he's simply impossible to miss through the 70s and early 80s wwf ring as a wrestler. the guy could work and get heel like a true pro. still have my ljn of him somewhere or another.
