According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, current Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer and former TNA President Dixie Carter may be on her way out of the company. Towards the end of the show, the subject is brought up after a question is posed about new President Billy Corgan’s entertainment industry connections helping TNA possibly find a new television deal. In regards to Carter, Meltzer says despite what is said publicly, Carter is completely out of power, then says she is ‘pretty much on her way out’. Carter’s lack of presence at the last two sets of TNA TV tapings in Orlando and reported comments made about her are referenced, and says he was also told by someone else that Corgan’s recent appearance on Vince Russo’s podcast raises a few ‘red flags’ as far as her status. For reference, part 1 of Corgan’s interview with Russo features Corgan talking about his new role as President and being in control of creative, in addition to his previous experience in the wrestling business. One of the topics posed to Corgan was about the status of Carter still being the majority owner of TNA Wrestling, and Corgan said the following: Read more at www.wrestlezone.com/news/748589-backstage-news-on-dixie-carters-position-within-tna-the-new-day-talks-original-idea-for-group-on-table-for-3#1oe1KjZfYmyKqSYU.99

Well, considering it is Meltzer reporting this, who did report when Impact was getting cancelled from Spike and Destination America, I'm still gonna say when something official comes out, that's when I'll start celebrating. I hope this news is true

Considering how bad Corban has been on air.....he makes Dixie look like an Oscar award winner.

I don't understand how someone like Corgan who has YEARS of experience infront of an audience can be SO bad on screen.

Dixie ruined TNA in 2010 when she signed Hogan and Bischoff.

I was listening to JR and Bryan Alvarez on the Ross Report and they brought up a good point when talking about this. The TNA/Impact Wrestling brand itself just conjures up so much negativity that it is possibly irreparable. The best bet would be to do some sort of rebranding and present the product in a different way. I don't know how they would go about doing it but they need to do something because the TNA product now is the most entertaining it's been in a while but the brand carries such a negative stigma at this point that they really can't recover from. The only course of action is rebranding.

I suggested this a while back and got a ton of crap for it, but I still think it's the way to go: They need to create a new company -- whatever they decide to rebrand TNA as -- and do an invasion angle. How new guys and have some TNA guys jump ship. Have it lead up to a big show (do they still do PPVs? I honestly don't know) with a series of "interpromotional" matches, the company that loses the most matches goes out of business. If they actually do it right, I think it could be great TV and a way to get people back that have been burned too many times in the past.

With NXT being what it is and what TNA should've been, TNA doesn't stand a chance anymore. No matter who the owner is, or head of creative.

Not a fan of corgan but I hink he's what best for Tna moving forward if they are going to survive. I think he gives them a legit crap to get back in the mainstream picture.

Wow. I never knew they tried that reboot. It's a shame it never occurred they way they wanted it to.
