At least Mattel didn't waste their time making him a new headscan.
But really, his whole run since his return was me thinking "He came back for this?"
ADR vs. AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe... These are all great matches in the making but WWE is just focused on him being some Mexican stereotype and can't see anything outside of "Remember that feud you had with Rey Mysterio? Yeah, let's do that again with Kalisto".

This is exactly what i figured would happen upon his return. I understand there is no need for him to be in the world title picture anymore,but he could have been featured better than he was, against some complimentary opponents as Joshi Josh stated. Not to mention ,outside of the lame League of Nations deal, he was pretty much bereft of any storylines. Kalisto was the closest thing to that, and those were basically just a string of matches....no real story. They should have got Ricardo back as a way ,if nothing else, to get him to stand out instead of being "interchangeable foreign heel" guy on the cards. At least he made a good payday out of it.

We're a rare breed but Paige fans do still exist! I think she could have great matches with Sasha, Nia Jax, Bayley and even eventually Asuka (even though I want Asuka on SD Live) |

Thank goodness!!!! for me he is the worst main eventer of the last 20 years. He had zero charisma, was boring as hell in the ring and to be honest it always felt like he was doing the bare minimum. To be fair to the WWE they tried their damn hardest to get this guy over, but it just never worked because he was just so bland. I have no freaking idea why they brought him back. They did everything they could to get him over the first time round and nothing worked so I am not really sure what they expected the second time. Zero charisma?? You need to see his ROH and LU promos. He's one of the biggest stars outside of the WWE. You guys need to expand your horizons. It's WWE that's bland and waters down their stars, not the other way around. Thanks for the recommendation, but I don't even have enough time to watch much WWE stuff let alone other promotions lol. While I think he was jut god awful. I have heard many people say he was much better outside the WWE. |
