I'm partial to 'Iowa'.
The songs they played off of it live when I saw them awhile back were incredible...especially 'Disasterpiece'.

I also picked Iowa. They're apparently gonna be playing the album in it's entirety soon a few cities away from me. Definitely trying to go see that.

The Subliminal Verses, easily. Vermillion Pt 1 & 2, Circle, Danger Keep Away, The Blister Exists and Before I Forget are all great to fantastic songs. But ing Duality man. As much as I love Slipknot, I only like one or two songs from each of their other albums, where as with Subliminal Verses I like pretty much the whole tracklist.

Honestly this is really hard got me to pick. Each album has multiple songs off it I listen to individually, but as an album the only ones I really listen to are Iowa and The Gray Chapter. It's not because of this individual songs on those records, but because of the way they go together that really puts them ahead.
Iowa especially. The first time I listened to it I had goosebumps.

Personally for me, it's their self titled album. I love the brutality of the soundtrack, Iowa's a close second, but they're all good in their own way, though I haven't listened to their latest album.
I still remember when they were on daytime television when I was a kid, I personally thought they looked cool but didn't properly get into their stuff until my late teens, I just kept listening to their stuff over & over.

I grew up with IOWA, hated Subliminal on release. Even returned it to the store the next day. Later we brought it after Before I Forget was all over TV at the time.

I haven't heard a Slipknot fan say that they weren't blown away by The Grey Chapter. Talk about a re-emergence after Paul's unfortunate death and Jay taking Joey's spot and just adding a much more raw sound to the band again. Absolutely love it!
I'd probably have to say these guys are my favorite band (if the username didn't give it away)... at least from the modern era.

I lucked out and got the Grey Chapter a week after it came out for $1 from Microsoft. I listened to it almost exclusively for weeks.

I forgot that MFKR was a Slipknot album. Does it stand up to all the others?

I forgot that MFKR was a Slipknot album. Does it stand up to all the others? Not really IMO. It's almost like another band.

It is a different band. Before Corey and before they found their sound and personas.

I noticed a few users commenting that Iowa is their subjective vote for slipknot's best album. I tend to agree. I love Iowa, i love that album and i know the lyrics of the majority of the songs by heart. My brother got me interested in them and to this day, i am grateful. Also, Daniel Bryan should disappear from the sports entertainment scene because he doesn't grasp wrestling psychology. I remember he had matches in roh where he would be yelling to the crowd to get himself over after the match, and he'd say, "who's the best in the world?" He'd yell this as if he hadn't even had a match. Boo! This isn't a debate and i'm not a troll as i don't care if no one at all reads this. Even if another user replies to this i'm not gonna reply back. I have better things to do. Anyway, yes, Iowa is the best album, in my humble opinion.
