Kayfabe speaking, I'd say a brick. Yeah I'm pretty sure it was a brick. I could've sworn they ran an angle once where someone(Hogan? Beefcake?) got the purse and found the brick once.

Definitely a brick at the SummerSlam 89 one.
The worse case scenario for a foreign object for the WWE was when Randy Savage won the IC Title from Tito Santana. It looked like he pulled out a marker out of his tight with tape around it and punched Santana in the head to get the pin.

Isn't it true they used to say HBK loaded his boot with something and he would stomp into the corner to get it into place?

Isn't it true they used to say HBK loaded his boot with something and he would stomp into the corner to get it into place? My god i forgot about that, but yes it was said briefly during his early heel run. Remember ,at that time the superkick wasn't even his finisher. That was the side angle suplex. Anyway,i think the reason it waa brought up is because they had to think of a reason to explain why the superkick could be recovered from before, but suddenly it beats everyone. They may have brought it up a couple times in 93 or 94. I can't remember, but obviously it was something that didn't stick, and in his case, was probably never designed to. The most common "boot loader" was the Iron Shiek. Or at least the most famous anyway. They always said he would stomp to get the object down towards the point of the boot. An honorable mention to Thunderfoot over at TBS for the same thing, though it rarely brought him a victory. Lol

Yes Iron Sheik was the most famous of the loaded boots. Was Sarge suppose to be using the loaded boot when he became the sympathizer? And the announcers would say that Iron Mike Sharpe supposedly loaded his forearm brace whenever he hit someone with it.

Hey, if Iron Mike could be perpetually injured for around 12 years, I'd say he had enough deviousness to load his forearm brace. Lol
