I have been, here and there...Christ! Took me a while because of the amount of clickbait-y headlines out there and videos on YT, but it's hopefully something we'll all forget once it comes time to actually invest in the fight...bloody broken scales!! WTF??? What about you, mate? What did you make of it? Bit of bollocks all told, eh?  lol. Yeah seriously, glad the dust has settled. I was just as confused as everyone else during it. I'm just ready for tomorrow's event, lots of fun fights on the card. Could be a newsworthy end either way it ends considering 'Bones' is confirmed to be there. I'm amped. That's why I'm glad that Dana is there to clear things up in plain language - I will seriously miss that when he decides to walk away if at all... Who do you have? Rumble or DC?  |

Happy for Gegard for getting the win over Weidman. I'm sad that Rumble is retiring, but he fought stupid against DC. He grappled with him instead of just striking with Cormier.

It's obvious Rumble wanted to lose. Kind of a bizarre night with the Weidman/Gegard finish and then Rumble trying to wrestle with DC and then retiring in his prime

Whittaker deserves a shot at romero, with the winner getting the title shot.
Can not stand namajunas. Really let down by waterson last night. Just awful.
No shock that dj won. Time to move up to 135 and stop beating up on children at 125.

Mighty Mouse tied Anderson Silva with most number of successful title defenses - incredible.
Apparently he also landed 101 strikes compared to Reis' 19.

I like Demetrious Johnson as a fighter, but the Flyweight division is super weak compared to the other divisions, so im not surprised he tied the successful title defenses record.

I love DJ too solid fighter, tough SOB, and seems like a good dude. Glad to see him tie the record but I do have a hard time trying to predict what he does from here. He's arguably in his prime. I know there's a lot of superfight talk out there but with DJ that actually seems to make a lot of since. The only one close to his level in the division currently (IMO) is Benevidez and we all know what happened with that...twice. If Cruz wouldn't have lost to Garbradnt (Spelling?) that's the fight I would've made honestly. That's a rematch worth making considering how much DJ has evolved since then.

I have a hard time classifying the flyweight division as "weak" simply because of how dominant Mighty Mouse has been. Can we decisively say that the flyweight division is "weak", or is simply that DJ is lightyears ahead of his competition?

I'm in the camp that reckons Mighty Mouse is seriously that good - not a knock against his contenders but still, it's hard to say definitively...we'll never know for sure.
Good on him though - amazing accomplishment.

I think people said the same thing during Ronda and Anderson's title runs - but at the end of the day, you can only beat the guys put in front of you. I think - like with those two - DJ just really is that good.
Also - anyone else watch the season premier of TUF? I think it's safe to say that Cody and TJ won't be on each others Christmas card list(!).
