I've never seen so many people that claim to like something, hate the person that has done more for that thing in my life.
Conor mcgregor did more for mma and the UFC than ANYONE EVER and people take this weird joy in him losing. I dont get it. I honestly. Believe it comes down to people needing to hate what's popular.
I've never seen people go so far to discredit someone. People pretend his Mayweather fight is any different than tom brady losing a 3 point shootout to steph curry. They pretend he lost a fight he clearly won (Diaz 2), and when they cant pretend that, they claim the other fighters took a dive ( Alvarez, cerrone).
People are strange.

Lots of finishes tonight. Not surprised, but very satisfied that McGregor got finished so quick. Maybe the sport can finally move on from his bs. Welcome to the UFC Michael Chandler. That was a pro wrestling promo if I ever heard one lol. I could do without those theatrics, I much prefer silent assassins. But that's what the sport is these days, it's what draws unfortunately. He had a Ric Flair Royal Rumble 1992 moment and used half of Taz's catchphrase, LOL.

Brought in the most money BY FAR (check the PPV numbers), brought in more eyes, had the crossover with Mayweather. Dont tell me about the "og" guys that 28 people watched. The ufc is where it is largely because of that guy. And favoritism exists in every aspect of life. But even just in the UFC, dana is STILL allowing a retired guy to hold a title that should have been vacated the second he retired and put up for grabs last night.

Dana White did more for the UFC than anyone... If you're just talking about fighters than obviously he's not in that discussion.

Now hold on a second you said he did more for UFC than anyone ever, you didn't say anything about his PPV buys. Yes, he is the most marketable fighter, doesn't mean he did the most for the company. If we are going by buys John Cena is the most important wrestler in WWE, end of discussion. And I was at UFC 10 and I assure you there were more than 28 people there. You can't get to where you are now without the past. Without the Gracie, Shamrock, Couture, GSP and Liddels of the world there would be no UFC. And the hypocrisy I was talking about was the fact that Aldo wanted to be the first double champion but was told by Dana he would have to vacate his title to get the fight with Edgar. But look what happens as soon as Conor beats a guy that was undefeated for 10 years. The guy that was undefeated for ten years got a rematch....wait no Dana decided to schedule McGregor vs dos Anjos so Conor could hold two title but that turned into Diaz beating McGregor and McGregor still gets handed a shot for champ champ.

Well you can never get anywhere with those that came before you. Doesnt make them bigger or better. I agree dana catered to him, but he catered to DC too. And Jones. And Rousey. It was never just conor.
