Not sure if a lot of members here are familiar with him, but being from Arkansas and seeing a lot of the stars of this more Southern wrestling scene. I saw him quite a few times in matches with Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett, & Bill Dundee. It says he passed away from cancer at the age of 70.

Sorry to correct you, but Don Bass was the brother of Outlaw Ron Bass who was the better known of the two. They teamed together, but I believe it was Ron who took on those wrestlers you mentioned. Don did not seem to have as wide a variety of organizations that he worked for.

Don did not seem to have as wide a variety of organizations that he worked for. Oh trust me ,Don Bass was a frequent opponent of Lawler and Dundee back in the 80s. I grew up as part of the Memphis weekly house show circuit in Evansville Indiana. Don Bass was a regular tag team partner of Dirty Rhodes (kayfabe heel cousin of Dusty) and was even a member if the masked trio of Fire, Flame, and Torch, a heel group who often burned their opponents during/ after matches. Ron Bass was the more traveled and well known of the Bass group, but Don was quite active in the southern wrestling circuit as well. R.I.P. Don Bass, my condolences to his family.

I'm gonna move this to the Classic section cause I think more people there will remember him.

At first I thought it was Ron Bass that passed away, but I got my corrections wrong I guess.
