25 years ago today, the BBC first aired the greatest sitcom ever. Discuss.

Love it.
In the top 3 British sitcoms of all time for me, alongside I'm Alan Partridge and Peep Show.

Anyone want to watch my Emmerdale Farm compilation video? I see they've changed the titles, its just called Emmerdale. Doesn't take that long to read now.

Loved Bottom... loved the stage shows too - especially when Rik would fluff his lines and Ade would be all over it, lol.

Loved Bottom... loved the stage shows too - especially when Rik would fluff his lines and Ade would be all over it, lol. Now I loved the TV show as much as anyone, but those "fluffed" lines were often scripted and at exactly the same point on all the non-filmed shows. Having been to the NIA dates on the last two tours, I know all too well...

Having been to the NIA dates on the last two tours, I know all too well... I just think they had a knack of making it look legit even if it was staged. The fluff when the door kept opening when Rik kept slamming it shut, then saying "I'm Rik ing Mayall" to it is legitimately one of the funniest things I've seen. Gas man episode is my favourite. Love the remix of it as well Guru Mediator makes some excellent stuff. The terror episode he done is hilarious.

Honourable mentions to spud gun & dave hedgehog. "So what did you during the war, "Spudgun"?" "I was unemployed." "Oh that's very convenient isn't it...." "It is actually, I live around the corner from the dole office."

"Has she?"
"....it's funnier in the pub."
