My favorite part of the RA era was the war between smackdown and raw. Watching superstars from raw and smackdown getting into brawl were fun to watch.
The night the raw vs smackdown storyline officially got started

The RA Era was very good imo. Particular Smackdown as they had the likes of Edge, Angle, Benoit, Guerrero etc.
The last good time period of the WWE imo.

What surprised me is that Smackdown won. Why did Vince favour the shameful stepchild over his baby?
Having said that it was an exciting time.

By late-2005 everyone knew that Raw had the "stronger" roster of the two so I feel SD winning was a way to try to boost viewers for the show. Same reason why Dean won at Batlleground and the WWE Title went to SD. |

Raw loses at SS, Eric gets pissed off and tries to punish the wrestlers, vince comes out, week after vince is judge to determine erics career as raw gm, Eric is fired |

The early to mid 00s brand wars were awesome. It was such a shame when they stopped taking it seriously.

2002-2005 was my favourite time period during the initial brand extension, when superstars invading the rival brand was a rare sight. When it did happen, it was usually leading to a big match at WrestleMania(See Undertaker vs. Kane, Taker vs. Orton, Michaels vs. Angle).
After that they started having people SmackDown superstars on Raw and vice versa far too frequently and the split pretty much became pointless.
I liked that for the first couple of years the only time you saw Raw and SmackDown superstars face off was at Royal Rumble, I'm glad that will be the case once again.

A shame "promotion wars" were obsolete by this time, meaning 'brand wars' took their place. Interesting time for sure though.

I also liked the fact each show had their own unique stage set. Today both sets look pretty much the same.
And they both had 2 announcers. None of this unnecessary 3 man team stuff of today.

The 2005 SD vs. Raw match and build up were both AMAZING. I LOVE the way Kane and Big Show were used especially. It's a shame however that this time period will always have dark cloud over it due to the death of Eddie. I never thought about this before but if he didn't pass we could have gotten at least a shred of Eddie/HBK in that Survivor Series match.  |

LOVED the way it started out with Bischoff vs Steph. Although we all know it should have been Bischoff vs Heyman.....but as it was? it was entertaining.
3MW breaking up the wedding of Billy & Chuck etc......LOL

I brought this up around this time last year. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/327189/raw-smackdownI think they should bring back the rivalry between Raw and Smackdown. The ongoing war with Red vs. Blue writes itself. The may as well utilize it since it's there to use. |
