Does anyone know when Andre the giant made his last ever appearance for WWF?
At first, I thought it was summerslam 1991, when he was in the corner of the Bushwhackers as they met the Natural Disasters - however Andre also appeared in Britain (UK) at 'battle royle at the Albert Hall' which took place in October 91' Andre came down to help the Bulldog from getting a beating from Earthquake and Typhoon.
Other than Andre's UK appearance (helping Davey Boy Smith) I cannot find anymore footage of Andre in WWF - does anyone know if this was his final ever appearance?

WWF @ Paris, France - Palais Omnisports Paris Berly - October 9, 1991 (7,000)
Davey Boy Smith (w/ Andre the Giant) pinned Earthquake with a powerslam after using Andre's crutch as a weapon
But his last TV appearance was in September 1992 for WCW, for the 20th anniversary of WCW being on TBS TV!

Ah cheers for the info man, however that October 9th date that you mention, do you know if that was before or after the UK Albert hall battle royal, because that was in October aswell.

Royal Albert Hall show was on October 3rd. So this show definitely happened after that. So this clearly must have been Andre's final appearance for WWE.

Nice that Andre's last WWF appearance was in France, the country he was born, seems quite fitting.

I still find it odd that his last non wrestling appearance was in WCW

The WCW appearance doesn't really surprise me. He loved wrestling and could never leave it even though I think WWF wanted him in more of a "second" role and he still wanted to be in the ring. And he was, IIRC up to December 1992. He just happened to die in January and I'm sure if he had been alive WWF would have him again and maybe even WCW with their Slamboree show.

What would the Monday Night War look like if Andre lived through the Attitude Era!?
Would he be in the New World Order!? Would he acknowledge The Giant as his son!? Would he join the Four Horsemen!? Would he jump ship back to the Federation!? Would he become WWF Commissioner!? Would he be revealed as the Higher Power!? Would he become WWF AND WCW Champion!?

If he had lived I'm thinking his latter life would slightly be like Macho Man. Vince wants him to be the Babe Ruth type legend but Andre wants to do in ring competition. Andre jumps to WCW and the two sides fall out.

Guys......
Andre could barely walk by the last time he was seen on TV. I don't know how any of you think he could have continued wrestling.

Well to be fair Hogan could hardly walk for a chunk of his NWO run but did okay. Andre was considered an "active" wrestler in 1992 as he stood on the apron in gear while watching other guys fight in tag matches. But honestly watching anything with Andre in ring after WM3 is hard. His back was gone and he was so limited. The whole love/respect issue between Vince and Andre to allow him to go out there for so long after that is incredible.

It really was sad to see Andre's health just go down hill in his later years. You could see in his face on many occasions he was in extreme pain. But he loved being a wrestler and did it to nearly the end. I respect him for that and in my eyes he is the greatest giant in wrestling history. For my money there will never be another like him again.
Side note here but I was so thrilled when he got that run as WWF Tag Champion in late 89 with Haku. For there brief tenure together they were truly an awesome team.

Poor Andre was well and truly knackered at WM6......hence his limited participation.

Like The Great Khali Andre was using crutches the last few times he was seen on TV. Khali could still walk on his own. Those are two completely different situations.

I believe Andre the giant was originally supposed to be apart of the 1991 royal rumble, but sadly never made it due to having a bad back, he pulled out about a week before the event and was replaced by Tito Santana.
If you look on youtube, at some early 1991 royal rumble event centre reports with Mean Gene Okerlund, I'm sure there's a couple where Andre cuts a promo.
