Gronk was like a third offensive tackle with the hands of an angel and momentum like a train.

My lasting images of him will be missing like 75% of the playoffs and dropping the peoples elbow. Good riddance. The game has changed, so stats have went way up, but the man has nothing on Gonzalez or Sharpe. Seasons with 1000+ rec yds Gronk: 4 Tony G: 4 Sharpe: 3 Gates: 2 Seasons With 10+ TD Gronk: 5 Tony G: 3 Sharpe: 2 Gates: 4 Games played Gronk: 115 Tony G: 270 Sharpe: 203 Gates: 236 PLAYOFFS Gronk: 81 rec / 1163 yds / 12 TD (16 gms - 3 rings) Sharpe: 62 rec/ 814 yds / 4 TD (18 gms - 3 rings) Tony G & Gates combined: 81 rec / 826 yds / 6 TD (19 gms) All those numbers and stats, Gronk played half of TG career. Sharpe today even called him the best TE to play the game. Gonzalez or Sharpe didn’t even have the blocking game that 87 played. No disrespect to both those guys, but in Gronks prime Ha! He makes them look mediocre.

Again...stats lie.
Crap QBs have 4000 yards seasons now.
When Tony played, really good QBs had 4000 yards.
When Sharpe played...not even that.
Also, I dont recall either of them playing their entire career with the best qb of all time.
Stats dont tell the whole story, almost ever. This is for sure no exception. You're either just reading or numbers or a simple homer. Either way...NOPE.
Youre free to your opinion, as wrong as it is, but no need for a long debate because mine wont change either.
Enjoy the last couple years of TB12, dont worry about a replaceable tight end.

Honestly, if Gronk didn't have so many injuries, I don't think there would be a deabte.
Singed, Patriot Hater

Not worried about replacing a TE or 2, Patriots have won a SB without Gronk. Will we suck for a couple years after Brady and Belichick call it quits, probably.

As it may come as no surprise to anyone, the owner of the AAF is speculating the league may be one and done without some help from the NFL and their players' union.
Also Bucs sign Blaine Gabbert as Exhibit #53.

I actually enjoy watching the AAF. It has gotten better as the season has went on. I think like they want to do though, they need to sign younger talent instead of nfl castoffs

The best chance any league has to survive is as an NFL minor league.
Have the backing of the league (and its billionaires), increase the draft to 9 or 10 rounds, and use your practice squad players as well.
Develop young talent, rehab those coming off of bad injuries or generally just keep the top free agents in playing shape for the inevitable injury call ups.
Keep the teams close, but not too close, to the team they are under. Put the Panthers team in south Carolina. Put the skins team in Richmond, va or va beach. Put the KC team in st Louis. That would keep the NFL teams local fan base interested a little, but also bring football to areas without teams.
I'm not saying this is 100% fool proof, because the NFL messes up a lot, but I think it's the best option.

So will the XFL. For a 2nd time. Vince should of just bought the Panthers. Ironically, the whole reason Vince decided to start the XFL again was because the owner of the AAF tried to buy the rights to the XFL and wanted to be the one to bring it back. So he said, screw it, pal, I'll do it myself! In classic Vince fashion.

Well the AAF might fold if the NFLPA refuses to cooperate with them, Vince and Oliver Luck are just watching the AAF and seeing what not to do.

Jordan Howard traded to the Eagles for a 6th round pick? Is that all the Bears think he was worth? I can see it can become a 5th round pick, but still...
