www.wrestlingnespamource.com/n...e-Public-Knew/ "Tyson Kidd posted on social media this week that he's still not able to really feel or move his head like he used to be able to, but says he is still focused on his recovery. Kidd got injured during a dark match with Samoa Joe on 6/1/15 and has not wrestled since then. Kidd ended up getting C1-C2 spinal fusion surgery to help. The injury, however, is worse than the public even knew, and doctors have told him that he could have been killed and there was a 95 percent chance of death. It has also been explained that if he did live through this, he should have been paralyzed much like what had happened to Christopher Reeves. There is no details on exactly what went wrong, but all Joe did was use the muscle buster like he's done a lot over the years, and it's not hurt anybody until now. Bret Hart has stated in interviews that Tyson Kidd and Samoa Joe were supposedly rushed out to just do a quick match without warming up first.

If he actually returns to the ring he may be the most respected man in wrestling.

If he actually returns to the ring he may be the most respected man in wrestling. already is. That is true, guy has come back injury after injury and has evolved each time. It would be a miracle if he comes back from a near death experience because I know I wouldn't step in the ring after this most recent injury, but wrestling is wrestling it's what some strive to be.

Proof that miracles happen.
Should have either died or been paralyzed? Check.
Still can't feel or move his head and neck properly almost a year and a half later? Check.
As much as I would respect him for trying, he needs to retire completely.

Yeah, it was definitely pretty well known how bad it was already. Still, the dude is lucky as hell that he's not paralyzed... or worse.
He'd be nuts to ever attempt an in-ring return. Like, about 5,000x more nuts than even Bryan.

Old news seriously this has been said numerous times, this thread about Kidd comes up atleast once a month and people are still surprised he won't wrestle.

TJ is such a cool guy. I have known him for years via Facebook, and he would actually talk to me and have conversations on there. I feel bad that he had to have such a horrible accident in the ring, but he is lucky then to be alive.
I don't think the WWE would ever allow him to return anyhow now, even if he did somehow get better to do so. If anything, it would be cool if the WWE gave him a job at the training facility. Just watching the new rookies work, he could tell them things from outside of the ring, without even getting in to take a bump to show them.

It's best to retire now then risk your life in the ring, there's no way he can come back.

For his sake, this man should never ever wrestle again.
They should have him work with the new guys they have down in Orlando.

Tyson Kidd is the man, he has my unending appreciation. I wouldn't be upset if I never see him return to the ring though because there's no sense in risking permanent paralysis after something like that. I would however like to see him be a coach in Orlando or at the very most be Cesaro's hype man. That would be pretty awesome I think since those two were pure gold together. He still has a lot left to give to the business I think even if not in an in-ring capacity.

Tyson and I share a mutual friend. I know how bad this was. It sucks, but all things considered, he's in way higher spirits than you'd expect him to have.

I find it funny Bret Hart had to comment there. Kidd will always have my respect. #Fact.

Maybe this is why Samoa Joe is still stuck on NXT.

Maybe this is why Samoa Joe is still stuck on NXT. Doubtful. Total freak accident. Joe's been using the finisher for over 10 years that I know of and Tyson's the first to be seriously injured?

So this is why Cesaro was suggesting the muscle buster should be banned.
