I'm glad he apologized. I'm a huge Bret fan especially being Canadian, Bret was my hero growing up. The comments he made recently Came off as bitter. Hopefully this clears the air.

Good for him, whether he still believes what he says about Rollins and the Freebirds or not, its better just to let it go.
I also agree with his HOF comments, not sure about the Killer Bees (wasn't an 80's guy so I could be off but I don't consider them huge stars from the past). But Davey, Owen, Neidhart, Pillman, and Rude are also at the top of my list for most deserving guys to be inducted.

How about Jimmy Garvin rather than Ronnie Garvin?

Does this remind anyone else Chyna apologizing to HHH at Dusty's (or was it Roddy's?) funeral?

He went too far with his Freebirds comments. They contributed plenty to wrestling moreso than most of the guys he is campaigning for HOF induction.
He should also recognize what WWEs hall of Fame is. It isn't Cooperstown. If you had a meaningful career and cordial with WWE, you will get in.
It is far closer to the Hollywood Walk of Fame where everyone gets a star than a Sports Hall of Fame. It's a scripted product, not like KoKo really went out there and got beat up every week.

I love Bret Hart. Easily in my top 3 favorites of all time. But years of him trashing everyone has soured me on him immensely. So much so, that I try to separate Bret Hart the wrestler from Bret Hart the person. Hearing him trash the Freebirds was too much. They are legends and deserved to be in the WWE HOF long ago. And while I agree Owen, Neidhart, & Bulldog belong in there as well, Bret should understand it's not always that easy. I'm sure WWE would love to induct Owen. But with the way Martha is, it may never happen. It's a shame, but in no way is that the Freebirds fault.
I'm glad Bret realized he went too far. And I'm so happy he apologized to the Freebirds, Rollins, & Triple H. Now more than anything, I hope this is the beginning of a happier less disgruntled Bret Hart. Because a happy Bret Hart is the best Bret Hart.

Yeah that was really strange. and out of nowhere. I really hope it isn't because he's gravely ill or anything. He just beat prostate cancer. Oh and I like your sig. Where'd you get that .gif of her?

I do hope Bret Bret has had some sort of serious change here. I know the years have not been kind, but it's not like he doesn't have plenty to be grateful for.

Apparently Hayes accepted the apology and says there has never been a problem with Bret before and will not be after. I'm glad Bret issued the apology and Michael accepted so readily. I halfway expected Hayes to put Bret on blast for including Ronnie Garvin and not Jimmy (whom he most certainly meant) in the statement. Its good to see this matter squashed. Say what you will about Koko,or the Bushwackers or whomever, but discounting the Freebirds contributions to the business was a bit nonsensical IMO. Very happy to see Bret rethink that statement. With that said, i agree with the Hitman about Davey, Jim, Owen and Pillman being HoF worthy for sure. And, aside from Owen for reasons WWE can't control, I'm sure they will all get in eventually.

I dont like it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. And i feel like Bret was basically bashed into retracting his. People talk about him just letting it go, but its actually the people who bash his opinion that wont let it go read his stuff, agree, disagree, and move on.

bret hart never felled off the cell like mick foley (AKA Mankind) did Nope, but he felled off his bicycle & bumped his head. Maybe that's why he has these mood swings. Stay off Twitter, Bret. Chase those damn geese off your yard & go argue with a cloud.

This is disappointing but not surprising, Bret has been ostracized by the "fans" because he shoots from the heart(pun intended). He has sadly fallen victim to the sissy social media generation we're in where you get attacked for being a man and giving your honest take on life and your experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed Bret's openness in recent years now we've lost him. I hope you're all happy now that you've silenced Bret Hart you can all enjoy your watered-down phony, and boring "shoot" podcast where every wrestler kisses each others butt. I gave up on watching wrestling 6 years ago and hearing from my heroes like Bret Hart was one of the few wrestling related things I had to look forward too...oh well, at-least there's still wrestling figures and old matches to watch.
