I haven’t played much because First I picked it up this morning. Then I think each disc took an hour to install. I looked at the remaining time both times and it said over 100 minutes both times so while each disc installed I watched Criminal Minds and SWAT from this week. And each disc was done after each show. But then I did the first mission. Stopped to make lunch and burned the palm of my hand when I dropped a jar of boiling gravy and tried to catch it. (Which sucked) Anyway I tried playing some more and just got to the new camp.

But like I said after I put a disc in the estimated time was 100 minutes per disc. Although that could have changed as it went on, because I put on two TV shows I had DVR’ed and needed to watch. So when the show ended I went back to the PS4 and it was waiting for the other disc to be put in and then with the second disc when I switched back to the PS4 it was on that brightness test screen. They could have installed faster, but I didn’t check until the shows I was watching were over.

Just shows you how much Rockstar packed into the game.

Really enjoying it so far. Made the mistake of trying to take the bear on at the start haha, mauled. The cinematic camera is cool when you're riding along the trails and I like the level of customisation. Spent a few hours on so it so far, didn't actually do a great deal was just kinda exploring, well looking forward to sinking some time into it.

I couldn’t figure out how to use my knife after the rifle shots didn’t down him and he was mauling me. Luckily I figured it out in time and I killed it while down to my last heart beat on my meter. I killed the legendary Wolf no problem only to be mauled to death by two other Wolves while I was skinning him.

Yay!! You won't be disappointed. It's exceeded every bit of expectation I had for it coming in. I wasn't into it when they announced it. I said for 5 months before release, "I'm not gonna get this on launch day. Just not too into it" and anything else that said I wasn't gonna get it. Then the gameplay videos came. And that there's gonna be an online, which will basically be the same as GTA Online, but set in the Old West. I've poured a ton of hours into GTAO, so if it plays like that, and you can own stables, stores, saloons, etc., I'm gonna enjoy the online part. What did you get it on?

Only played about 20 minutes of it. Very impressed with the attention to detail.

I really love Arthur's character. I remember when he was first introduced in the first trailer, it just seemed like he was a typical thug and a dick, quite frankly, nothing compared to what John was in the first game. But Actually playing the game, Rockstar did a great job with him. He's a good character, with an interesting history to his life. And I'm only in the middle of chapter 2, but I love the relationship he shares with John, where you can tell he cares about him because he's part of the family they call the gang, but he's also giving him crap for a past wrong he sees John did to the gang.

Yeahhhhh, the online aspect of Red Dead just doesn't interest me. The only thing I liked from Red Dead online was the Undead Overrun mode - that was so much fun! I've heard nothing but good things about the single-player so seems like I was wrong about it. I bought it for Xbox One.

It'll just incorporate a wild west theme e.g. stables, plots of land. What would be nice is some add-on content instead.... but I feel like I'm just hoping there.

I feel like Rockstar found something in this social club thing +the online multiplayer GTA5 spawned, and they're going to take advantage of it. I never did play the DLC on RD1--any good?...

While it was completely a u-turn of the main game, with it being a zombie game, I think it was pretty fun. And for me at least, I so much preferred playing as zombie John after you beat it, over playing as Jack after you beat the main game. hat was the only thing I didn't like about RDR, was having to go from a great character like John, to his annoying son.

I kinda quit once I became John. That's why I never got back into it or the DLC I think.

Wait--yes I do in fact mean Jack. I think I would have preferred the ending to have John survive, but Abigail and Jack lose their lives, and then it's him, that hunts down Ross and takes his revenge. Just so I didn't have to play as Jack. Yeah, I get he was seeking revenge for John's murder, but the roaming gunslinger did not fit him at all. And with what a great character John was, it was a step down to finish with Jack. I had found out the ending before I got it, so I knew he was dying, (still hit me though), so thankfully I was able to make a hard save before returning home, so I could free roam the map as John.
