I've never been a big fan of them wearing merchandise in there match, I don't mind what they wear for there entrance but it was very weird seeing Rey Mysterio with a shirt on because it didn't look natural same with The Usos but I don't mind what they wear to the ring

It doesn't bother me. Most guys who have an entrance jacket or vest wear their shirt underneath like AJ Styles or New Day
To me the entrance gear is to make a guy look more flashy the shield had a unique look so didn't need to wear their own product.

I say they need to ban t-shirts.
How else am I going to finally get to see topless Mick Foley.

They make more money if their merchandise sells, and the easiest way for them to promote their merchandise is to wear it on TV. I like a cool entrance coat as much as the next guy, but it's simple economics. This. I always believed it was because they get money based upon the shirts selling and I know a guy such as Kevin Owens has imput as to what his design is and so if you make a shirt you think is cool and would buy as a wrestling fan why wouldn't you want to wear it if it then could be made available for others to buy and that'd get you a bigger push, more money, etc? I've always been bothered by guys not having their own t-shirts so they come out in generic shirts that say things like "Night of Champions" or "Santino Marella". If you don't have your own shirt to push I suppose it's just working yourself up the t-shirt food chain, but still, it's funny to see Wrestler X in his own t-shirt and his opponent Wrestler Y in a generic t-shirt promoting the next PPV.

It's not something that bugs me tbh. I do enjoy that Rollins only wears his entrance gimmick for pay-per-views. Makes 'em feel - I guess - "special" instead of the norm. Honestly, I wish Rollins' entrance attire wasn't JUST his entrance attire. When he wears the whole thing, he looks like a futuristic superhero or something and it's such a good look that I wish he would wrestle with the top on.
