I was lucky in that I pre ordered the NES Classic Mini in July the day they went up for pre order and I have spent the last couple of hours messing around with it and it is awesome. “don’t’ we already have one of these?” was what my other half asked and she is right, but there is just so much charm to this I am really glad I got one.
Anyway I was thinking surely a SNES and possibly a N64 one are on the horizon. So what would your realistic 30 games be for the SNES mini? I would love Turtles In Time to be on there, but the Turtles video game rights are a bit of a nightmare as Konami and Activision are involved. Anyway here are the 30 games that I could see realistically being on the SNES mini. On my list the two I think that they would perhaps struggle to get included would be NBA JAM TE and Sunset Riders.
Super Mario World Super Mario All Stars Yoshis Island Super Mario Kart Link To The Past Super Metroid Mario RPG Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong Country 2 Donkey Kong Country 3 Contra 3 Earthbound Final Fantasy III Super Castlevania IV Super Ghouls & Ghosts Final Fight 2 Super Street Fighter II Super R Type Pilotwings Super Tennis NBA Jam TE Space Mega Force Secret Of Mana F Zero Kirby Superstar Super Punch Out Sunset Riders Mega Man X Actraiser Chrono Trigger

I never owned an SNES, but there are a few classics that I think would have to be on it.
Super Mario World Super Mario Kart Mega Man X Mega Man X2
...I thought I had more, but apparently not.

Super Street Fighter 2 for sure. There were other incarnations of Street Fighter but that's the one I had. Obviously any of the others would be accepted as well. Also, some of the old Disney games like Aladdin and Lion King were good games. It would have to be more than 30 games though.

They might be more difficult to get, yes, but the NES classic has Mega Man 2, Ninja Gaiden, a couple Castlevanias, and so on.

That is why I think things like Street Fighter, Castlevania, Contra and so on would be ok. But things like Turtles In Time would be a huge no go

We did this on SourceGaming: sourcegaming.info/2016/08/14/sgcsnesmini/My choices: Super Mario World Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong Country 2 Donkey Kong Country 3 A Link To The Past Super Metroid Super Mario Kart Earthbound Super Mario RPG Super Punch Out Star Fox F-Zero Pilotwings Yoshi’s Island Kirby’s Dreamland 3 Joe & Mac Super Castlevania 4 Pac-Attack Final Fantasy VI Sim City Contra 3 Sunset Riders Earthworm Jim Zombies Ate My Neighbours Super Bomberman Street Fighter II New Challengers Megaman 7 Super Ghouls N Ghosts Final Fight Captain Commando I avoided picking licensed games, I easily could have included stuff like Turtles in Time, Star Wars, Lion King and WWF Raw.

Yeah, the NES is cool and all but I was a much bigger fan of the SNES. I have an emulator for both on my computer, but I'd definitely buy it still.
My list would look something like this (numbered for count, not order):
1. Super Mario World 2. Super Mario All-Stars 3. Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures 4. Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past 5. Chrono Trigger 6. Final Fantasy 6 7. NBA Jam TE 8. Mega Man X 9. Donkey Kong Country 10. Donkey Kong Country 2 11. Super Castlevania IV 12. Super Metroid 13. Street Fighter II Turbo 14. Mortal Kombat II 15. TMNT Turtles in Time 16. Super Mario Kart 17. F-Zero 18. WWF Raw 19. NHL 94 20. Contra 3 21. Earthworm Jim 22. Goof Troop 23. Ken Griffey Jr Baseball 24. X-Men Mutant Apocalypse 25. Star Fox 26. Final Fight 27. Super Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back 28. Madden 94 29. Batman Returns 30. Zombies Ate My Neighbors

It's funny, just yesterday I was thinking of all the iconic games that were on the NES and was trying to think of ones on the SNES. I don't think it has as many compared to the NES or N64. Not saying that there aren't any at all or that there aren't great games that maybe don't have as much notoriety (like Earthbound or the Final Fantasy games). But compared to its predecessor and successor, it lags a bit behind over the course of time.

I still have my SNES and some games, but I cannot find the AC adapter. I would love to see these games on a SNES rerelease
Final Fight 2 Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety Death and Return of Superman

I'm agreeable to most of these titles, but I feel like I'm the only person that liked Fatal Fury (World Heroes 2), Battletoads/Double Dragons, and a rare gem; Legend of the Mystic Ninja.... N64 sequel wasn't great, but to original for the Snes was amazing. I definitely recommend it or single or coop.

all that. The only thing I'd do is what they should have done with the NES mini, which is making it possible to download more games in the future. Bonehead ing decision (or genius plan to set up for a version 2.0 next year) to make that thing the way it is. How it's sold out across the country and being scalped like every wanted Mattel figure ever is beyond me.

Off the top of my head:
Super Mario World Super Mario RPG Super Mario Kart Super Mario All Stars Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2 F-Zero Earthbound Kirby: Super Star Star Fox Donkey kong Country DKC 2 DKC 3 Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Metroid Sim City
A lot of the fun games I can think of aren't first party and are licensed such as Super Star Wars, Aladdin, Mickey's Magical Quest so they'd have no chance of being on there.

The Snes Mini needs.. BIKER MICE FROM FAKING MARS jack.
Really liked the game & the cartoon back in the 90's, still have my Snes right here.

I kind of hope they work harder on it and put in some kind of Virtual Console into it.

Figured it was ok to bump this since the games were officially announced. 21 games instead of 30 is garbage but the 21 games are largely great. Great that it comes with the second controller, and the novelty of playing an unreleased Star Fox game, but neither are big selling points for me personally. Anyway, $80, September 29th, best of luck to those who want one. If I can get one pre-ordered I'll get one to keep and give to my son when he gets older. comicbook.com/gaming/2017/06/26/nintendo-announces-the-snes-classic-editionContra III: The Alien Wars Donkey Kong Country EarthBound Final Fantasy III F-ZERO Kirby Super Star Kirby’s Dream Course The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Mega Man X Secret of Mana Star Fox Star Fox 2 Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting Super Castlevania IV Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts Super Mario Kart Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Super Mario World Super Metroid Super Punch-Out!!
