Does anyone think Mattel will Release an Updated Elite Jericho in his Blue/Purple Goat attire, heads can with goatee, with Scarf, and the List as accessories? Who would like this?

If it happens, it won't be for awhile. The "Lost Legends" Elite came out recently, and he has a few Basics in the pipeline. I'd be all for it, though. Maybe someone has or will make a custom "List" from that Contract Chaos set. |

I would expect so. They've been reluctant with Jericho elites because some of his early premium figures (I guess Elite 4 and Entrance Greats?) sold disappointingly, but this current run has been great. Instead of the boring, diminishing-returns guy he's been for the last decade, he's truly reinvented himself and proven to be one of the most exciting parts of the show. It's a travesty if they're not planning a Gift of Jericho elite for 2017.

I would love an updated Y2J, but like dollarbill04 said, it probably won't be out for a bit. Anyone else disappointed in Basic 68.5's Y2J? I was not expecting a repaint of a previous basic and was hoping for a new scan; I didn't expect one with a goatee, but would have preferred to have a scan that actually resembles Jericho. |

I would love that! It would look a little weak without the tats, which is the main reason I suspect Mattel hasn't released an updated Jericho

Modern Jericho poses a problem for Mattel because they can not do any of his tattoos. No matter what they do people will bitch. Make him without tats and you'll see 100 posts saying "If they make him properly then they shouldn't make him at all." They don't make him and everyone complains that there aren't any modern Jericho figs.

I still say they should just slap on some tattoos that look similar. It would make the figure a lot more realistic than his arms just being bare.

They need to just do what 2K did and put placeholder tats in.
It's very simple, it's hard to even notice in 2K that they're not his tats.
Either way tats or no tats we NEED a Gift of Jericho Elite ASAP. Preferably in his Black (shocking I know) or Mania version.

I think it will come out with the list and black scarf. The gimmick is so over and popular, there is no reason not to do it. The bad thing is that it won't have the tats as usual.
