Love it, it fit him so well. I always remember the video package they put together for mania 8 with sid destroying jobbers to this - absolutely classic! Monsoon called him Sid ''insane'' Justice''.

Lol and you know it would have been "the irresistible force meeting the immovable object with the fans jam packed to the rafters" a main event anywhere in the country lol

Thing is a lot of people think Sid left straight after wrestlemania 8, he actually didn't, he stayed with WWF for around 2 weeks after that, because he was apart of the UK rampage tour, where he met the Undertaker in a single's match. (I think he left straight after that though).
Also, does anyone know if Sid was supposed to kick out of Hogan's legdrop at WM8? - I found that really odd, because nobody had ever kicked out of it? some people claim Sid did that deliberately to double cross Vince, then Vince panicked, didn't know what to do, so quickly ordered Papa Shango to go to the ring?

Papa Shango was supposed to break up the pin when Hogan hit the leg drop on Sid but he was late on his cue so Sid had to kick out on his own.

Yeah Sids theme was awesome.....no doubt.
Just thinking back......WM8 went through so many changes and came off so effin FLAT.
No LOD because Hawk was suspended.....so no Money Inc vs LOD for the straps as planned......Savage beating Flair was meh and still is(just like that entire title reign) and 100% wasn't what people wanted to see and the less said about Hogan vs Sid the better.
Bret vs Piper was a bright light for sure though.

Crucially Vince wasn't and wouldn't be aside from some minor success here & there for years to come.......WM8 didn't and still doesn't feel like a WM calibre event to me.

Wrestlemania 8 was awesome to me although I do wish we had got hogan flair, with flair Savage still happening just after so we still got that match. Shame we didn't get lod v money Inc though was looking forward to seeing that

WM 8 was very enjoyable IMO. Savage/Flair and Piper/Hart were classics. The rest while nothing to note about was still more than tolerable to watch.
I'll tell you guys this, it's better than anything going on today.

Yeah I know they appeared man because they didn't wrestle? Its still no LOD. I remember as a kid I couldn't understand what was happening with them. Lost the titles off TV & Not at Wrestlemania.....I couldn't figure out what the hell was happening!!!

I thought the same, the unstoppable LOD beaten by a team that didn't really exist a week before and then no sign of them until they reappeared at mania for that interview with ellering - no mentioning Rocko shortly after!!

Yeah WM8 to me had a great build up to the event but it falls flat come match time. Bret/Piper is a classic. Savage/Flair and Hogan/Sid were great leading up to the event but I felt that both matches underperformed (I had higher expectations for Savage/Flair while I expected Hogan/Sid to be slow but not as nonsensical as it got towards the end of the match). Monsoon and Heenan were great.
It's still a shame to me that Sid was gone so soon after the event. I was never a fan of Yokozuna's run a year later and assuming Sid stayed around I think that he would have fit that "dominant monster" role much better with Bret chasing him for a year (Luger as a heel would have fit that role better than Yokozuna as well).

I can understand Vince wanting to make Sid this big babyface, but in reality Sid is just so much better in the heel role.
Look for instance his heel turn on the SNME in February 92. The way he turned on Hogan was top notch storytelling at it's finest. Then you add in him destroying the Barber Shop prior to WM 8 and right there Sid being the heel is by far the better choice.

Wrestlemania VIII should have went down like this...
Hogan vs. Flair for the WWE Title Savage vs. Roberts in their final encounter Undertaker vs. Sid Justice in the battle of the big men LOD vs. Money Inc. for the Tag Titles The Natural Disasters vs. The Nasty Boys in a grudge match Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper for the IC Title Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty Tatanka vs. Rick Martel Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart vs. The Beverly Brothers
Now that to me sounds like what should have been the perfect Wrestlemania VIII card.

It's a shame we didn't get to see the new foundation at wrestlemania 8, but Jim Neidhart left the WWF around Feb/March - which resulted in Owen Hart becoming a singles wrestler, they gave him a match with Skinner at WM8.
If I remember correctly - the British Bulldog was scheduled to meet the Berzerker at WM8, but the match was scrapped due to time restrictions, if you go to youtube, and look at some of the wrestlemania 8 reports with Mean Gene Okerlund, he announces the Bulldog V Berzerker bout.

You are correct. I still think that ''time restrictions'' excuse is BS. They could of easily had that match on the card.

I actually went to both nights of this tour in Glasgow. The first night was main evented vy Sid vs Undertaker and the next night was main evented Legion of Doom vs The Nasty Boys. The 2nd night was a much better card as it had Macho Man vs The Mountie for the WWE title and Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels for the IC title as well. Also on another note. Sid was not the heel going into Wrestlemania 8 it was Hogan!!!! He was the one who started it all by ing Sid over in the Royal Rumble lol. Also on a third note (what am I a band leader?) Sid's music in Super Wrestlemania on the SNES is awesome!

Very jealous that I never went to the rampage tour in 92. Great roster at that point! Really missed out there I think

I have a couple of Polaroids still of the show and the Bret Hart glasses I got at this show are still on the back of my office door. I actually went to the 1991 UK Rampage which was the first show they did in Glasgow and was headlined by Roddy Piper vs Ted Dibiase, but while I really enjoyed it I think I was a little overwhelmed by it all to be honest.
