I have always wondered about this. If The Ultimate Warrior never got fired before Survivor Series 92, would Mr. Perfect have returned to wrestling?? As the story is well known, Randy Savage picked the 'perfect' partner on Prime Time Wrestling to face Razor Ramon and Ric Flair, and that partner was Mr. Perfect. So we got to see Mr. Perfect return to the ring that night and for the next year.
So would have Mr. Perfect returned to the ring if Warrior was still around?? And if so, when??

Not sure when perfect would have returned, there were not many big name options to replace Warrior at the time, as many stars were gone by end of 92. I think perfect say this as a chance to enter a main event program as Warrior's replacement to team with Macho and get a main event spot run as a face aftrwards. After all they put the world title on Bret and iC title on Shawn weeks earlier, who were work horses in the mid card just like perfect was before he got injured.
In other words perfect probably walked in to Vince's office just he was reaching for the phone to call Hogan and reunite the Mega Powers. Perfect being a smart business man said "wait Vince, I know a better partner as a replacement, a perfect partner actually".

Probably the best episode of the new format Primetime shows. Perfect and bobby killed it on that show, just wish he had got the chance to run with the belt!

I personally didn't like Mr. Perfect as a face. He was just way more natural as a heel. That one year babyface run from late 92 until late 93 was far from memorable IMO. The only highlight of that run was him vs Bret at KOTR 93 and that Raw match with Flair.
That being said, the face turn on that PTW episode was really well done. That's definitely the last good episode of the shows run.

It will certainly never be as good to me. And I don't think I'll ever be as truly into the characters as then. Maybe it's because I'm older but partly because they just dont make them like they used to

Hmmm.. it's a tricky one, I'm not sure if Mr.Perfect would have returned, I don't know, but as someone else said, WWF lost a lot of talent in the fall of 1992. Ultimate Warrior, British Bulldog, the Mountie (just to name a few, had all left). And even Hulk Hogan wasn't around either, he took a year off due to the steroid scandal of 1992.

I think and always have thought this stank of desperation. Aside from Undertaker? there was nobody for Savage to partner with....and I mean NOBODY. Perfect fit the bill as a "big name" and in fairness they pulled it off well.
Mega Powers vs Flair & RR would have been great though.

I wonder if Vince did try to get Hogan during that time frame then?? Replacing the Warrior with Hogan would have been huge, especially for that Survivor Series!
The only thing is, I am sure it would have went on last, and bumped up Bret vs. HBK for the WWE Title to the middle of the show.

Mr. Perfect's heel run set him up for a really good face run. He was a heel that people wanted to love, similar to Ric Flair. I think he could have done really well.

He had probably the best singles match of all time with Bret at KOTR93, a good feud with Luger, the loser leaves town match with Flair, the Survivor Series main event and probably the most memorable spot of the 93 Rumble.

Anyone Know why he left before SS93. He was replaced by the macho man and never seen again until Wrestlemania X. Then gone again.
