In similar news wrestling fans don't wanna watch Ric Flair.
I know this is just his opinion but I disagree. I'd rather watch 2 no name cruiserweights than Sasha vs Charlotte again.

I don't want to watch him cry, but that doesn't stop him.

It's never shocking to see older stars/fans not care about smaller guys and cruiserweight style wrestling. Like the article said though, he just sort of seems a bit too thirsty to make sure people are paying attention to his daughter.

With the way they are used and booked right now, I don't disagree with him all that much. They brought too many in too fast, and they have them too separated from the main roster as well. They don't feel like they belong on the show. And their own show is so terribly named you wouldn't even know it was a wrestling show.

this shouldn't be surprising to anyone, he has chastised shane douglas saying he'd be a toothpick without steroids.
i have never been a fan of women's wrestling personally, but it's success is undeniable in today's wwe

Well a lot of the cruiserweights absolutely suck, so there's that.

Since Ric has retired, he has stopped putting himself over and is using all that time and energy to put Charlotte over. I understand why, but he really should tone it down, otherwise it will put people off on Charlotte.

He's old school. Over 65 years old. Was winding down his career when most of us were still crapping our diapers. Too expect him him to have the mindset of an 18-25 year old wrestling fan is asking a little much. Dont take things wrestlers from 2 eras ago say so seriously.

Well look here, for Ric Flair and I have the same thought process on this.
I hate cruiser weight wrestling in the WWE. I don't care to watch 205 Live, I didn't care to watch the summer time CWC shows, I don't care to see them on Raw.
None of them have a personality except Brian Kendrick, and he only has one cause he has been around the business for years.

For starters the belt itself is ugly as sin.
I said this before but nothing will ever top the WCW cruiserweight division.

I mean, as it stands right now, I agree with him.
That's not to say the Cruiserweights can't be something special. The Cruiserweight Classic was excellent. It was a ton of fun, it featured some really solid matches, and it got me invested in a lot of the guys who I had never even seen before.
Absolutely none of that good will got carried over to the division. It's a nameless, faceless mix of a bunch of guys who have shown no personality (and have been given minimal time to do so) having a bunch of decent, but repetitive matches that mean absolutely nothing. It is, in effect, what the women's division used to be - time filler, piss break, whatever you feel is most polite. I find myself routinely fast forwarding their segments on Raw, and will continue to do so until WWE gives me a reason to care.
They need a star to anchor the division, and right now, they don't have one.

Minus Kendrick most of them have zero character and look the same.
I can't disagree much with Ric on that one.

I was never big into the Cruiserweights dating back to WCW. Sure some I liked. Mainly the guys who could wrestle outside the CW division while wrestling in various styles. But for the most part it was the same thing...all out balls to the walls with flips, suicide dives and other high risk spots. And because of it nothing about it is special. It used to be the high flying/high risk moves were done as finishers (guys like Snuka, Dynamite kid, Benoit) or at PPV's to make the matches a little more special. As it is now everyone and their mother are doing them in every match so watching Cruiserweights doing whole matches of them isn't something I care to see.

No suprise here. Him, Hogan, and the rest of the cans in WCW pretty much buried the cruiserweights during the NWO run.
They didn't want anyone out shining them and week after week would ruin the matches or not out anyone over.
