Fun fact as I was watching wcw war games collection I noticed that aside from 1998 which was a three team situation every year the heels always won the coin toss.

Dusty mentioned it on one of the discs (or in past interviews). And he said why Arn would always start it for the heels. The reasoning for the heels always starting it was because then they would always have he one man advantage adding to the drama.

2 good guys beating down on 1 heel doesn't sound right, it'd be hard to retain a baby face position while two men are lynching a guy.

The heels winning the coin toss was a must and just made War Games that much more fun to watch IMO.

the coin toss made you think the faces might get it one time, it was simpler back then. also giving it to the heels made a hot tag comeback almost everytime a face came in.

The only time it would make sense to have it otherwise would be if the heel was a Giant and/or a monster. However, they wouldn't have had the stamina, outside of Vader.
